Well I'm not going to get into the OFF TOPIC debate over whether or not this game is vaporware that the stupid ignorant hate trolls turn every single thread in this section into. I will however comment on the possibility of this game needing a PvE server to survive. Ever heard of a little, staggeringly successful game called Lineage II? The PvPers need the PvEers for supplies and gear while the PvEer will need the PvPers to provide security and a market for their wares. Now the first thing that your probably thinking is "Security? WTF?" but it there are PKers running around its going to be the Anti-PKers(PvPers also) that will be your police force. This is exactly how it evolved in Lineage II and EVE and it will be the same in Darkfall. Having separate PvE servers is a stupid game breaking Idea for a game of this nature as the game simply isn't designed for it. Most other games are PvE games with PvP grafted on at the end almost like an after though but a true PvP game has niches in the world for all types of players to fill. People who think this game will be one huge gankfest are deluded at best as it won't be that way at all. Anyone who has played Lineage II or EVE for any length of time can tell you that.

 

Oh and by the way......my comment about the stupid ignorant hate trolls.......There are trolls on both sides of the Darkfall debate but you don't see the Fanboi trolls trying to Hijack every single thread with the same old lame arguments. They at least try to stay on topic until you extremely lame vaporware trolls chime in to every single thread in this section just to stir up crap. Very bad form gentlemen and its getting very old very fast. Trolling does not make you look cool, it just makes you seem very unintelligent and childish.

According to Forumfall, this game is not going to get carebearized in anyway, they will not soften it up with a PvE server etc. I think that even says in the FAQ.

Keep in mind its a playable demo that doesn't work. All news from beta says its still lightyears from release.

Its been delayed like 3 times, and all the news we've gotten from beta says the game is laggy, glitchy, and half of the content isn't even implemented. Yeah, have fun with that. Funcom doesn't have a good track record with releases.

All the news we've gotten from beta is from people that stopped beta testing it 4-5 months ago.....and even then most of them thought a tech beta was supposed to be a full beta.

Wouldn't that be the ideal situation? Or do you just want to be able to kill players that don't even like to PvP?

Darkfall is a PVP oriented game, if you want to PVE you can risk it in darkfall or you can go play AOC or any other MMORPG with a closed and linear PVP system.
