Actually from my courses and personal study I feel it is just the opposite.  The reality is unless Christopher reveals the essence of the agreeement with Tolkien Enterprises and what his father taught him about writing the book, we will never really know for sure.  Tolkien worked with children, so he created a fantasy story where the good guys will win but not at the cost of the horror that you wack off someones head.  While Tolkien served as an officer in WW1 he saw enough of that to never wish that story on any child, and that was the time he began to write LoTR even though is was not completed until 1932.  The lore is about that common story of good vs evil but with the child in mind, providing the child a story line that enabled him/her to know they could overcome evil, thy he could be the hero, and that dreams are the essence of life,  if only they try.

Lotro is game that you should enjoy when you level, there's a story to follow and the instances you look towards.

And that I agree too, the story is what it is all about.  The game play is the icing on the cake.

OP, it sounds as if you are bashing WoW and asking the players to try LotRO instead.  However you should take into account that a lot of people play WoW for the PvP (as good or bad as it may be, I'm not claiming that WoW pvp is good or bad) and LotRO just isn't a game for PvPers.

If people love questing or things like RPing then I agree and highly reccomend Lord of the Rings Online but when recruiting people you should mention the PvP so that you arn't drawing people into the game that are going to hate it and give it bad word of mouth.

I was kinda saying that they didn't add an evil side because in the books they never win in the end. They can't add a whole evil side to the game when their fate is already sealed...

~Eve~

I am a huge Sci Fi fan. I play Eve. I have also been playing LOTRO because I kinda fell into a copy for my birthday from my wife. I have to agree its a very polished game and I have been enjoying it.  I would suggest reading about 5 MMO's that are better than World of Warcraft.  Click here:

I have played about 20 MMORPGs including both WoW and LOTRO.  LOTRO was among the most pointless and terrible MMORGPs I played.  I quit about 10 seconds after getting to endgame (level 49 when I left) because there was nothing to do.  In their quest to make stuff unfarmable they punished the casual player like me.  This game was not made by experienced MMO makers like the people over at Blizzard.  Currently I play neither one.  While I may someday go back to WoW I will NEVER go back to LOTRO.

Wow is pointless at end game so I don't get what you're saying. Unless you like to grind the same bgs and raids over and over and get a few updated gear every big patch. LOTRO is coming out with new books like book 13 now and it's free. They are also coming out with an x-pac and will be adding more books after that, this game has a lot of room to grow. LOTRO end game is just like wows just not the same pvping options, if you can't wait for more books to come out like the one that's coming out this month with added content then yeah there's something missing and this game isn't for you. Cause imo the crafting is better, raiding is actually fun, the people are nice, there's no chuck norris jokes all the time I log in and they are always in the works making new content to add.

Ummm ok, you win, even though you SAID "most experienced MMO maker", but if you had said "most popular MMO maker", ya I could agree.  How many MMO's does Blizzard have now?  Experience is based on how much time and effort put into an area, Turbine was making MMO's before Blizzard, but ya you win.
