I am one of those dumb shiz that still play the game, and have 5 accounts.

My main is a jedi and I have been playing since Sept. 2004.  Been through PreCU, CU and NGE.

Anyone that thinks that Blix is doing to jedi is anything other han a nerf has their head buried in the sand.  Everything stated in this post as to what the change is is accruate.

This will most likely be the straw that breaks my back and I play light side and it is getting the nerf bat big time.  Don't really want to learn how to play this game again for the 5th or 6th time.

Plenty of peeps gave toilet boy their feedback and they ignored it cause they know better.  BH is the alpha of the game atm and that is not going to change anytime soon.  Very obvious that Blix hates the jedi players and wants them to go away.

The changes to robes will do nothing to added to visual diversity either, something we have all asked for.  More over, no updates to JMC or armored clothes as promised.  JMC will become junk, and all armored clothes in the game will continue to be RE junk only.

SOE sucks at their job and I have no doubht now after what has happend with EQ2 and that community that SCE is most likely to just kill SOE compeltely this Sept. / Oct. when the new FY starts.

I honestly hope that the only job Smed  and Blix get after this is as a janitor for a stadium.

Nice to see that you obviously already have tested the system out, prior to it being put up on TC. Out of interest which server you play on and whats your char called?

Huge nerf to heal (costs way more SP's) basically being forced into maybe 2 different choices for template.

Jedi will be pathetic after this patch.

Toilet Boy won't ever pass up a chance to nerf Jedi.  It's the only thing he knows how to do.

 

 

Yeppers. This is Toilets Boy's 'vision' of differentiating Dark & Light Jedi. In the process, it appears that a player will have to use virtually all expertise points into one side or the other, and to be able to do what you can do today (heal), it will cost more of those points. ANY change in expertise that cost you more points to do the same thing is a nerf. Jedi/Beastmaster is not really going to be a viable combination, unless someone doesn't mind being a gimped roleplayer.

 

If it is SOE's goal to reduce the number of glow-bat-swingers (let alone players) in SWG, they are doing a fine job.

 

That's why I cheer Toilet Boy on and hope he sticks to his guns on this cataclysmic change, because it serves my purposes (ie: end of the NGE).

As bad as the existing Jedi expertise is, at least it gives you some choices, whether you want to be ranged (dark) or melee (light).  With these changes it won't be possible to mix the two without being severely gimped.

Indeed, if you are in a lightside stance, you won't even BE able to use any dark tree abilities and vice versa!

That is a huge nerf, and the one that will cause them more outcry than the heal nerf in the long run.

As I said, I cheer on the narrowminded, talentless gang o' turds!  From my perspective, this is the best idea they've had (aimed at the NGE's destruction) since the CH6 combat downgrade and the CH7 reshuffle of attributes.

 

 

 

In truth i hate the NGE and what SWG has become. When i do a vet trial it makes me want to cry when i see how much has degraded, i mean this game is 100% destroyed and in fact if you look at it in hind sight SOE has Never fixed anything that has been broken in this game since the Pre-CU they just keep on adding more carnage and chaos to the poor game...

But after this last Vet trial i had and seing how Vile and hatefull the NGE player base is im actually thankfull for the NGE.. just imagine it as a roach motel of the MMO world,even if the game only has 9k subs thats 9k bad apples not in other games i now play and enjoy.. In fact i wish SWG would be like those big blue neon bug zapper lights that bugs cant resist and hit around 100k subs..

Hell between WoW and SWG keeping the kiddies entertained we may end up with a real sand box type of game that works someday for us older folk!! :)

Sorry but this is a nerf, period, and I don't test as that is SOE's job, not mine.  Also, players that have tested, have already stated it is a nerf.

Not gonna give you any of my character information as knowing how SOE operates you could work for them.  Call me paranoid all you want and not interested in getting banned before I have the chance to vote with my feet. and wallet.

If you don't think it is a nerf, then offer some information how that is the case?

The NGE instroduced a new pvp system. Aha! Maybe we will finally get an epic battle between the rebels and the imperials. Ouch...nope we got the burned out city of Restuss filled with l33t kiddies and gankers. lol

Exactly! Where is the instance you can go in as a stormtrooper and kill rebels or the instance where you can work with your rebel squad to covertly take down an imperial listening post? If the NGE had actually made the game more Star Warsy people might not hate it so much.

Instead, they make up Foozle instances for mobs that are thousands of years in the past, and the only thing they make of the current timeline is a scavenger hunt where you collect stormtrooper helmets or something.

Hey at least the stormtrooper armor collection is star wars related content. Most of the other collections aren't. My personal favorite collections are the dust bunny collection and the steaming rock collection. Woohoo! Star Warsy and Iconic to the max!!!

They said they are very much interested in GCW instances and will be implementing them. You still cant seem to understand that the tusken king and Exar are both very much cannon - or perhaps you'd like to have a heroic where you kill vader...

How about instead of an instance featuring some expanded universe character that hardly anybody has ever heard of they have an instance where rebels can go in and destroy an Imperial listening post or a group of Imperials can go into an instance and destroy a Rebel outpost. Two very simple ideas that will never happen because of the low populations. If you notice carefully none of the instances are faction specific because it's hard enough to form groups as it is in the game without having to be restricted by faction. Right now every instance is open to groups of mixed factions and people are constantly complaining on the forums about not being able to find groups.

About the highlighted part, please  help me to understand..you find the NGE crap and you canceled subscription and moved on to other games to come back here on the SWG vet board to complain about people who complain  about the game  you left behind ?

i dont play it and i never played it but i do know what changed and how it affected the entire game, although i wont know it as good as ppl who played i decided for myself it was a very bad change
