from the trailer of champions that i saw on their website the game doesn't look anywhere near being done so if i had to guess another year should do it. as for beta maybe 6-8 months is my guess. |

They basically JUST announced it... I'd give it at least a year before you hear anything about Beta. Why? Because Beta just isn't important at this stage of Development. In fact, it's been shown that Beta can HURT Development when done too early... Mythic did a great job learning from this. They shut down the WAR servers regularly saying "Ok, we'll call when we're ready to turn them on again." Babysitting a Beta server and Forums full of complaints and requested changes before the game is ready will only negatively effect production... taking time and energy from development to "fixing" bugs on unfinished systems. |

According to a recent story they did on the main page, dev's and company insiders are already able to play a beta version from their homes. This does not in any way mean its ready for a massive beta, but I would say it might mean they are closer than 18 to 24 months. This game was Originally Marvel Online so they have been at it for like 2 years and they already said 2009 for release so i would expect a beta in 6-8 months. |
