I don't even bother preordering games usually because its an utter waste of time that causes more problems than good. I remember about a year ago, I'd walk into Gamestop and have the cleark literally harass me to pre-order Halo 3. The day it came out every store had like 50 copies... preorders are worthless.

In this case, I don't seem to have a choice. What store is the best to order it from? The prices are the same, but where has the better reputation to not utterly screw up.

If you want to walk in seems the only ones that may have the key codes would be best buy, gamecrazy or gamestop. My personal exprience was gamestop, now the one I went to still does not have codes... but... the one 3 miles away did and honored my preorder and gave me a code sheet for open beta + in game items.

Now for a trully secure way to get the prelease codes go through amazon.com My sister ordered through Amazon online and had her codes within minutes they are sent to your media library area of amazon. PLUS... the key code for purchase doesn't have to be entered for a few days after release so she didn't even have to pay for next day air.

Why So Serious?

Have yuo considered ordering online? Amazon.com is far better.  You won't get any walk in good treatment.  Gamestop's bizarre policy with PC games is horribly flawed and its caused alot of chaos.

If you can't get it from Gamestop or Best Buy (when they fix their techincal problems) you're only going to find it online.

Actually, I meant online. Sorry for not specifying. I was debating between places like Amazon, Ebgames.com, and the others listed on the WAR site.

Amazon.com is where I got my copy from and I had zero problems.  Got my code within an hour .

I'm happy.

Blessed are the forgetful, for they get the better even of their blunders

Could you guys that ordered from Amazon answer a quick question for me please? When you pre-order through them, do they charge your CC the day you pre-order? Or not charge it until the street-date?

If WAR is everywhere why aren''t I in beta yet?

I went with amazon.  I mostly did this because  I have amazon prime so I got next day air shipping for $2.99 but also because I have had good experiences with them.  This is hardly my first preorder with them and in most of the cases (games, DVDs, and books)  I have either gotten them on the release day or the next day.  The one time I remember a preorder not showing on time it was UPS's fault.

They don't charge your credit card until the day your order ships

The king and the pawn go back to the same box at the end of the day.

To all the other Canadians:

Why not just order your copy from EBgames.com and pay the little extra duty fees? I did this and had no troubles before, sure I won't get to play on release day, but I will play within' a week after release.

I pre-ordered mine today from ebgames.com and I recieved all my codes upon order. I live in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada. I don't mind waiting to get it, the game looks worth it and im not ordering from EA.

Is there a reason they suggest EAstore.com/war for Canadian orders? EBgames has sent me my stuff in the past....should I be worries?
