Let's give gamers what they really want. From least to greatest: 5. Gamers versus Developers: Saga of Unending Struggle 4. Everquest Customer Service - I had to play it more than Everquest anyway. 3. Leet-speak 'n Epix - To get them off of the roleplay games I like. 2. Patch Day - The hardest MMORPG to play. 1. QQ Beach & M'own - It's what gamers do best. http://www.allaboutgod.com/ |

My "Fave 5" in no particular order (Don't sue me please T-mobile) Babylon 5. Car Wars. anyone remember that old pen and paper game? Auto-assault tried it but was WAY to watered down Cyberpunk. another old pen and paper game. Your typical post-apocolyptic genre. (yes, I am dating myself mentioning these last 2) Mechwarrior. I think this would be better as a PvP game tho. I don't see much potential for PvE. Everybody Loves Raymond Online. Okay - this is not serious - I just couldn't think of a 5th.
I'm not creative enough to have a signature |

1. Star Wars MMO. Set in the Old Republic era. 2. Forgotten Realms Online. 3. Ultima Online 2. (In a hypothetical situation where Richard Garriott gets insanely rich after discovering the first alien race, comes back to earth, and buys the Ultima IP back from EA and refounds OSI.) 4. Cyberpunk/Dystopian setting MMO. Open ended, skill based, virtual world-esque. 5. Starcraft (Not really an MMO, but an online action RPG.) |

1. Stargate Worlds
2. KotOR mmo
3. true medieval mmo (no magic and such bs, real medieval stuff, just humands, no dwarves, elves, orcs, etc...you get my point)
4. modern military sim mmo (armed assault kinda works for this but a true mmo would be awesome)
5. something that is just a "wow clone"

I think all mine may have been said, but for one. As you can tell I'm was heavy in pnp as a kid and really have fond memories.
1 Gangbusters.. old TSR game based in the era of Al Capone. Chances for lots of classes and factions. Would make for very interesting pvp. 2 Gamma World.. another old TSR game. I think there are so many possibilities with this one, I'm really surprised no one has already tried it. (or they did and I missed it) 3 Autoduel.. the Steve Jackson pnp RPG based on Car Wars. I would love this game. 4 Mechwarrior.. Merging good mech gameplay with with great interaction, this game would rock. Think Eve, with giant robots, add a little "out of the pod" action, and I think it would be a winner. 5 Sundog.. A great game I remember from my 1040ST, had the elements of a great mmo already there; space combat, resource gathering and trading, exploration, ground combat, etc. Add in a little pc interaction, update the concepts, and away we go...
Please note the above statements are being written by a man who remembers all the fun had playing the aforementioned games as a kid, but does not remembers the many defects most of them surely had. |
