Baldur Gate 3, with the new edition of D&D rules (they are been MMO-ified anyway...stickiness, warrior doing no dps anymore...fine with me, but MMO-ified)
God-stuff. Yeah, I want to create avatars and work on my home plane (housing+++) Full PvE for me, but I can see interesting PvP for other...just...not for me in anyway. :P
Cities of Medieval-fantasy. :P Now, divide each class in 2 half and put some powers in a 3rd pool, pick any 2 half you want, mixing any class, but then the 3rd pool is given to you to "balance" stuff out. You always dream to haste and to CH, sure can...or to tank & slow, sure can...and so on...no raiding! :P
Aion is in developpment, I don't like many design decision, like PvPvE, but...I really like the setting...will give it a try.
Warhammer, not WAR, Warhammer. Me want PvE! :P
Vampires & WereWolves stuff. :)
Yeah, that would be my top 5; some are setting, some are system, some are both. :P - "If I understand you well, you are telling me until next time. " - René Levesque about the denial NO on the poll to his dream, project and goal. (Free translation) |

1. Warhammer 40k - the more interesting / original IP of the 2 to have created when the market is as flooded with traditional Fantasy as it is at the moment. 2. Firefly MMO would also be cool as has been said (everyone wanting a scifi/western - this would be the one). 3. I cant really say this without asking for trouble, but oh well - Pokémon! 4. A Bucky O'Hare MMO... wow that would be amazing... seriously, I want that now! Can't really think of anything after Bucky now... I want to fight the evil Toad Empire :P |

1. Pulp-1930s style Scifi MMO (Think of old Flash Gordan serials meets Robert Heinlein sensibilities). 2. Zombie 'survival' MMO (What's the fun of PVP when it can't be asymmetric in some fashion where zombies have numbers or some additional powers that humans do not (but humans have guns and coordination)). 3. 'Toy' based MMO (Think Lego Universe meets Garry's Mod (heh, I love physics puzzles)). 4. Mobster/"private eye" based MMO (Any old pulp novel series will do here, just lots of fun and not just run and gun). 5. 'Low'/naturalistic fantasy MMO (Song of Fire and Ice as a primer, where magic was truly magical and rare and not tossed about like leftovers). -- Brede |

There are soo many ip's I could see being made into MMO's, but just to list a few. 1. A Song of Fire and Ice - If made well as a realistic looking sandbox MMO.. could be a very interesting world, also alot could be done to make it a PVP centric game (with all the various kingdoms.. and alliances, ect.) Not sure how it could be worked out, but it could make an MMO that has a very unique PVP.. that doesn't play out with just two or three groups going at it.. could just be an all out battle wher eyou get placed into one of however many kingdoms... from there have allegiances, be able to hire mercenaries for your kingdom and fight for the crown! (or just land))... Obviously a really complicated idea that would take alot of work, but an MMO that gave a real full (very large world - so campaigns against other groups would truly be massive) could be amazing. 2. Harry Potter - Maybe not even based around Harry Potter timeline, but with thee same world. Start at a school which you progress through as you level (visiting other areas outside the school - such as forbidden forest for hogwarts, as well as hogsmeade, etc.). Than wizarding professions as you further progress..this would be the part that could be difficult to create.. whether as a sandbox with muggle areas or something else. Anyways a fully magic based mmo could be very interesting, would be alot that could be done with combat.. taking it away from the current MMO combat. 3. Outlaw Star - Not a huge anime fan anymore, but for some reason this world always seemed intriguing to me. The worlds always looked kind of cool and gives alot of ideas for places to put in the game (not to mention having space stations as well). Good ship racing/combat could make it really fun as well, not to mention combat could be both melee and ranged based (with shells being almost magic like) - tho combat would still have to offer something new to be truly fun). - There are many other MMO's that I would like to see made (a new Star Wars well done would be fun.. ), but what I really want to see is an MMO that truly tries something new with how it plays. Maybe a skill tree MMO but with fun combat.. something where leveling up is significant, but at the same time skill plays a major role in combat - I know this has kinda been done in past MMO's, but it doesnt really seem like it has been tried recently. Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware "Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product." |

Avatar-Strictly based on Elements each element is in war against eachother Medieval total War-Sandbox MMo like Roma Victor but better of course but based on strict Medieval lore(not fantasy) Resident Evil MMo-ot sure if it would work but would be cool to co-op an apocalyptic Zombie fest Time warped MMo- some kind of MMo where different time era's merge and you have all kinds of weird and whacky things going on e.g picture this, Cowboys,Knights, Robots,e.t.c basically anything that you could think of been thrown into the mix last but not least Asheron's Call2 to be re released that for me looked the shit and would be greataly accepted if it were re-released never got to play it but damn wish i did have the chance. |

Planescape (Loved the PC rpg) Western ( one in the works..early works) Frontier 1859 MMO.... might be to hard core forthe carebears though Trigun Krondor series by Fiest would be a good setting. Battletech Forgotten relms setting And my first love AC2 free to play or pay. w/ the xpac they juiced everyone on. re release this and I quit WOW hands down and would pay 20$ a month for it. None of these in any order
And anything that doesnt have target locks on you or what you want to attack. I would like to be able to dodge those fireballs or arrows sometime, enstead of eating them. Open world skill system with lvls just to show how far along you are. How many delicate flowers have you met in Counterstrike? I'm not your friend. I got a case of beer and a chainsaw waiting for me at home after work. |

In no particular order: - Syndicate MMO: Control four agents. Get miniguns. Turn the street into charnel house. - X-Com MMO: It would almost have to be real-time to be successful. One player group controls the aliens, one player group controls the humans. Each gets a planet to develop and protect. There can be only one winner, the worlds reset and things start again. - A 'Dark World' setting MMO: C'mon, The Secret World! C'mon, Cryptic's unnannounced dark world title! I want a modern world setting fighting against elder gods! - Blood Bowl / Brutal Sports MMO: Manage the team! Crush your opponents! Drive over them in a steamroller! Score in the end zone! - Champions Online: Let's see how this turns out. :-) |

I have a hard time coming up with five mmos that they wouldn't crap up totally by making it carebear, class/level-based etc. I'd love to see some of these, but without following the cookie-cutter mmo shape of today. No particular order.
Conan the Barbarian MMO that doesn't cater to WoW fans. After reading Robert E. Howard's books about Conan, I find AoC lacking in many ways. I despise classes because of the restrictions they put on your character, and I despise levels because they seem to mean that you have to advance from being nothing to being some sort of demi-god. A proper, hard-core, skillbased system with PvP everywhere (but with guards and law enforcment in cities) and full loot would suit AoC so much better, because the world Howard describes is harsch and unforgiving.
Lord of the Rings Online, again without the WoW-factor. LotrO today is a disgrace, and once again the original books have been warped so far beyond recognition it makes a fan cry, and all in the name of commercialism. This is another setting that would cater greatly to a proper skillbased system, more open PvP and faction wars (i.e. players on both sides). I would have set it in an earlier age though, a lot easier to fit an mmo into the lore of the first war of the ring than during the events of the trilogy. Also, for some reason every mmo has to have fireballs and magic, even when it's based on a book where most folk couldn't use magic as advanced as that. I wouldn't mind not being able to play a fireballcasting mage, because the heroes of Tolkiens world are soldiers, rangers and simple men. They just had to cram it in there though.
A aliens/predator/colonial marines mmo could possibly be excellent. I would consider having the RPG bit to a minimum though. Probably make it more of an mmofps, but with some resource/promotion system for getting equipment, although a basic marine should get good enough equipment to be able to make a difference on the battlefield from day one. One thing that needs to change in some of these games is the grind to get to the end game. What about an mmo where the end game starts straight away? The AvP universe would cater excellently to that, since it's very much about action and suspense rather than killing lots of aliens to "collect 20 alien teeth" or somesuch. Missions could range from 3-5 man standard missions to ones that encompass a plutoon or more, heading deep into hostile territory. Naturally, you could play all three sides.
Darkfall Online - this is pretty much my dream MMORPG at the moment. When it comes out (and it will), I will be there and hopefully it will live up to my expectations (I've learnt over the years to not get hyped up about games until after I've actually tried them). It draws heavily from UO, which is still by far the best MMORPG I've played ever, bar none (and I've tried a few).
Something completely new and innovative that doesn't follow the structure of any mmo today. I am not sure exactly what it would be, but I'm sure there's someone out there with an excellent idea and no funding or talent to bring it to life (of course, for every one of these there are 100 people with appalling ideas without funding).

1) Battletech/Mechwarrior - This by far my number one.. interesting/strategic combat, 4/5 different houses to chose from, lots of intrigue, changing wars, mercenary units for guilds, arena fighting... just would be fantastic. 2) Medieval Total War - Not as individual soldiers, but as leaders... as you go up in levels you get to command more men rts style All I got is two... as much as I like fantasy, I'm just in the mood for something new. Edit: I'll add a #3 3) Oblivion/KOTOR/Mass Effect combo - Basically an relatively sandbox MMO where your decisions all matter in how the world perceives you and acts toward you. Doesn't matter if it's Sci-Fi, Fantasy, or something inbetween. |
