It's like buying a Porsche but not being able to ride in it for a month

Yeah that mount you get with your pre-order can only be used in the Borderland skirmishes, so ur looking at like lvl 70+ prolly lvl 80 before u can use it!

Only horses are available to ride in the world until then!

*Jaw drops* What the hell? I'd MUCH rather have a horse then! Guess I'm gullible because I was actually happy when I heard about the Rhino coming with the CE-edition. Have to wait a month or more to actually ride the damn thing and only in a certain area. Can it get any more lame?

Oh come on now, I dislike AoC and I still read the FAQ on their main site!  The Border Kingdom is the End-Game PvP Raids for Battlekeeps, and the only place those mounts u get with the CE are allowed.

The War Mammoth
Posted: - 28.09.2007

Thunder can be heard on the fields of the Border Kingdom, it is the thunderous steps of the mighty War Mammoths.

These gargantuan beasts, mounted by skilled riders, strides across the blood-soaked fields as mighty battleships set to conquer some unknown harbor. A vital instrument in any siege attack, a War Mammoth may very well determine the outcome of a battle. Employing these beasts in your attack means that you can break down walls and damage buildings even without using traditional siege weapons.

In Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures players can acquire and ride their own War Mammoth into battles throughout the Border Kingdom. At launch, the only way to obtain such a beast is to pre-order the game at select retail chains where it is on offer.

Killer Rhino
Posted: - 28.09.2007

With ferocious speed the Killer Rhino charges the fields of the Border Kingdom, plowing through hordes of enemy soldiers, sending them flying through the air.

The Devil’s Lance, the enemy calls them – incredible speed packed into a body intended to maim and slaughter. On their backs, skilled riders fight for control, carefully employing them in battle where the death of many is required in as short time as possible. In siege battles the Killer Rhino is a potent yet dangerous instrument of death thanks to its ability to brutally plow through large masses of enemies in a quick, brutal and lethal frenzy.

In Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures players can acquire and ride their own Killer Rhino into battles throughout the Border Kingdom. At launch, the only way to obtain such a beast is to pre-order the game at select retail chains where it is on offer.

Massive PvP/Siege PvP
Head out to the Border Kingdom with your guild, or hire yourself out for pay, and wage epic battles for control of player-owned battlekeeps. There are a limited number of these battlekeeps on each server, meaning combat will be fast and furious, and the benefits of owning one mean guilds will fight tooth and nail to keep theirs (or take away someone else’s!)

Is that enough proof!?  If not ask poster-boy for gaute's # and ask them directly if u don't believe the official website!

After all is said and done, a lot more will be said than done.

There are different versions of the rhino and mammoth in game. The pre-order is for the siege ones. Rhinos and Mammoths will still be available to those who dont pre-order, just a different version.

I reject your reality and substitute my own. -Adam Savage from Mythbusters

I haven't read all the posts, but I've read anough.  I'm always for a dely, I know a lot of poeple hate them.  I read it all the time in forums when someone delays a game "when is the game going to come out?  I want to play already".  If the company brings the game out and its not up to expectations you hear "this game sucks".  I'm always for a delay if the dev co thinks they can make the game better.  Look at Half-Life 2, it was delayed for years, and went through 2 engines and the game turned out great.  I think if more game companeis learned this, we'd have more good games.  2 things devs should learn.

1. Listen to players ideas before CB and during CB.

2. If you think you can make the game better by delay, by all means delay.

You'll never make everyone happy with a delay, but if you bring out a good game most of the people who moaned about the delay will be happy.  Quality should be #1 to a game company, otherwise you get Sony where most people aren't happy becase only crappy games are made and the devs listen to no one.

Nah, been there - done that...trying to relay info since Funcom won't, and tired of being shot down that nobody will believe me.  So when I can post proof without being temp banned or post deleted, yeah I will as with other stuff I've posted and agreed upon from /with others!

Dun worry though, u'll all see the truth soon enough...heh
