Hell was build for heroes.

Well duh, Funcom has worked on their engine since the 90'th, and have 200 people working on AoC. So I can't se why folks arguing about some freaking timetable over development.

AoC fanbase are looking worse and worse for every day that goes. More immature followers doesn't exist.

No it didn't. TF2 was not in straight develpment for that long. They shelved the project than picked it up later and finished it.

I love it how the darkfall fanboys now constantly use the "TF2 argument" to try and give validity to Darkflop.

And the AoC dev who said this stuff should be given an award for telling it like it is.

"On a side note, I find it quite fascinating that a developer from Age of Conan acts this way! It's clearly a sign of fear.."

OR it's just someone making fun of a product he knows is completely inferior to his..

It's like pulling up to a stop light in a lamborghini and making fun of a Neon next to you.

"Meh"

I really hope the really immuture players continue playing WoW and leave AoC alone... I know I know *pops own balloon*

Eh, it just shows how much time he has on his hands. Honestly its just talk, I mean poking fun in the industry.

While I would hope AoC would become a WoW destroyer, I just dont see it happening, with the asain market buying it up.

I mean really there is a small economy growing around it, that and EvE so I dunno. Wishful thinking on my part.

what do you expect from people who've been following something for 7 years and getting nothing but stale screenshots and a few generic alpha videos in that time?

You know the funny thing is we are all the same with exception to the odd deluded individual & the medicated, the only hting that divides us is the GAME and where our hope & loyaltys lay, we all want the same things technicly which is fun and a good community to be & make friends and enjoy those moments (fun).. so while we scorn each other playfully or maliciuosly really should remeber why we are here becuase its the same reason.

If AoC becomes a WoW destroyer, then I will cancel my subscription and sell my Pre-Order CE package on eBay. The one thing I DONT want AoC to be is a WoW destroyer. This would mean that all the WoW kiddies would be crawling all over Tortage with hundreds of Gold Sellers as their Entourage.

I am hoping AoC will do fine, attract the mature audience and WAR will attract all the WoW fanboys since its graphically pretty similiar. My ideal scenario would be 20k of users subscribing to AoC, while a few hundred thousand subscribe to WAR. I will take a handful of mature players over hundred kids with AOLbonics any day.

I understand that.

What is the most confusing to me though, there are those that mention how long DF has been in development (7-8 years) and those trying to justify that length of development as being a good thing.  Than of course you have someone chime in about how that seems like a very long time in development and nothing really to show for it.  Than someone else comes in and says no no wait, they had to restart and it's actually only been in development for a shorter period of time (4 years) and trying to use that as justification for not really having anything to show for it.
