WAR (Warhammer Online)

I hope we see the Skaven, vampire lords, Wood Elves, Tomb Kings, Lizard men, Ogre Kingdoms, chaos beastmen, and maybe even Chaos Dwarves. Thats possibly 60 classes! Outstanding variety!!!

There is so much potiental for this game it's unbelievable!!! I really hope the game is successful!!!!!

The possibilities for races and classes are nearly endless....with tons of opportunity for customization...even if this game does not deliver on everything promised with its initial release (fingers crossed) they have more potential content than any IP based MMO released to date I think

It would be nice if some of those thingsare added as content, but I hope they won't be making most of it playable. The more races/classes you add to a game, the harder it is to balance them and balance is essential for PvP/RvR.

And I also agree that there's alot of content they could add, just because of the IP.

Yes, this is a great IP from Games Workshop as far as content is concerned.  Lots of races to pull from and all they have to keep is the theme of WAR. No need to devote excessive effort to develop extraplanar zones where you need to raid gods or create goofy worlds.

Just slap a two new cultures up, give them a home base and connect a path from the home city to an established zone. So, for example,  if Chaos wants to raid a Lizardman fortress instead of the dwarven homeland they can "take a left turn" instead of going the normal path so to speak. Maybe the Order players want to take the campaign from Dragonwake (elven map) to Skaven territories. etc.

Assuming that WAR lives up to the hype. It has fantastic potential.

I think that Paul has already mentioned Skaven as a possible expansion. There is a vampire lord in the PvE area as well.

Lets just hope all this expansion talk doesn't go to pot because Mythic launches a lousy game and no one is interested in any expansions.

all i have to say is Lizardmen vs Skaven would be such a badass expansion and fit into the lore perfectly... Although if they actually make lizardmen i might have to switch from Destruction to Order....

Hahaha talking about expansions, when the game is far from being released probably december or next January the earliest.  Get a grip people.  They have a hard enough time trying to make the base game.

December and January? While nothings impossible, Q2 is just around the corner and EA Mythic has given no sign of another delayed release date. I do think its over anxious fans talking about expansions, but when you really like a game, theres no harm in talking about future possibilities.

You are right though, the game has been delayed a few times, but I for one know that I'd rather wait on a delayed game, then pay for a BETA version at launch.

Game launch delays don't deter me though, game content, vision and community updates are what I look for in a game in development and WAR is about the only thing even remotely interesting on the current market to me.

I want them to be free but you know under EA theres no chance of that.... I don't believe in paying for exapansions when you're paying a monthly sub of $15 or probably $20 under EA per month on top of the £60 ($120) you have to pay for the CE in the UK seeing as the normal version is gimped in game.
