and to the poster that said war is a wow clone, its actually closer to the other way around blizzard tried to make a game using the warhammer ip first. when it wasn't alowed to it made two simmilar games warcraft and starcraft the rest as you say is history

I've noticed that it's mostly AoC fans who decry Darkfall as 'vapourware'. Don't know why. Some of them may be thinking that Darkfall is threatening 'their' game so they crap on Darkfall at every opportunity.

They really should be worrying about WAR instead IMO.

darkfall as of right now is vaporware. And i couldnt give a crap how AoC and WAR do.

The market is overflowing with too many MMO games and will soon crash, I expect later this year to see a crash and watch even some of the big companies come out hurting.

What you dont understand is that Darfall is a fully functioning game and because of that it has features.  It just has not released to the public yet.  The Screen shots are from in game footage.

Lets take the time to think before we post next time, it might make you realize that you have no facts backing you up.

We know Darkfall is development, we know they have a fully fuctioning game that they are currently de bugging the program.   We know this because of the countless screenshots of in game footage and in game video footage.

Is Darfall ready for Beta yet or release? No idea but We all know based on the information at hand that Darkfall is being made and that they have a fully fuctioning game with more FEATURES then any other MMO out or in the hopper to be released.

Honestly who really cares when the game is released. If it does or doesn't come out soon, it isn't going to upset the gaming industry. People hang on to hopes that this game will be released soon, but it doesn't really matter. Waste of time waiting around, and a waste of effort to biatch about it.

AoC might be getting releases but from everything I have read and the Combat video I saw leads me to believe it needs more time.  If they release it on May 20th this year, it will be another Vanguard.

Go to the Darkfall Site and watch video's of in game footage.  Go to watch the Darfall combat video's.  Its a game, I am sorry your little mind cant accept that but its true.  Darkfall is a fully fuctioning program.

I have not gotten to play it yet because it has not been released nor is there a public beta yet.

So a small team is making a game with more FEATURES then a huge team and for some odd reason it is taking the small team longer to make the game.... Geez That makes no sense

Oh yea I am 25 years old, full time job, own house, 2 cars.  I started playing MMOs when EQ1 had 1 expansion and I have not even come close to figuring out the world yet but guess what either have you or anyone else because its not humanly possiable.

They have the first hand knowledge, the extended funding of Publishers AND Private investment, which proof of can be obtained legally from the courthouse if you'd so desire.  They've shown fully functioning games to the Press and visitors at various game conventions.

Not saying that there isn't a first time for everybody, and first timers can definately make a great game... but if you want to compare Companies of Aventurine to that of Mythic or Funcom, you're going to be fighting quite a harsh battle.

I wish you luck.  My best advice is to compare them to a company more on the level that Aventurine is operating on.  NPCube is both a good, and bad, example.

from what i understand people have seena fully fuctioning game but because of the nda we wont know about it until later
