Warhammer is a amazing game, many people will be really surprised when they play it.

Lots of innovation in WAR

I have played EVERY MMO
Playing: SHADOWBANE - WARHAMMER - WoW
RIP: Earth and Beyond, Mythica, Middle-Earth Online

Unfortunately, more I hear and see about WAR the worse it seems, complete opposite of AoC. And before you flame me, I am fan of these both games.

I think the delay is a good thing.  I hate when two competing genre's of MMORPG's are released in a similar time frame.  I am a fan of both so it will be nice to give AoC a run for awhile and them move onto WAR.  Of course if AoC ends up sucking the big donkey dong then it is going to be a long wait...

I want to try War and Aion, So far everything I have read on AoC makes me think its one of those games that promise the world and will never deliver it.

Tormented echoes of a fallen Eden
I longed for her beauty
Yet from dust, she returned
The dream, an enigma.... silent

Bollocks!

It is really annoying that it's pushed back AGAIN, but whatever, at least I'll be able to get more money for a better comp and whatnot.

I just got Sins of a Solar Empire and Sim City 4 so I think that'll hold me over for a while.

Bollocks!

I was going to buy both regardless.

I just get to enjoy AoC a few months longer before I trash it now.

honestly.

reading a lot of your comments about type of people playing certain games, i would like to mention:

   - WAR will be appealing to the "barrens chat" players much more than AoC because of 3 main reasons: 1) its a lot like wow and that game seems to attract 'barrens chat' the most, 2) AoC is age restricted, which makes it still available to young players but much less accessible, 3) AoC is much more hardcore in sense of controls and mental requirements, which would make it less appealing to certain types of people...

   - if some of you think differently form these obvious reasons, chances are you are one of the 'barrens chat' players. and reading these threads really reminds me of the good old barrens chat, honestly.

War is not like Wow though. I think it's obvious you have not played either. The barrens chat type of players are going to play the game with the gore, the blood, the guts, the heads being chopped off. I mean, just look on Youtube for an example. The mass majority of little kids are the ones praising AOC and saying things like "Aoc pwns, WAR is a WOW clone lawlz".

I also don't know why you say it's more hardcore in terms of controls and mental requirements. It's a twitch based game. Twitch base games are ruled by little kids annoying kids. Go hop on COD4, TF2, Halo 3 etc..

I think others have already answered it very well. I will never understand the so called "fanboy" feeling some people have as if they have stock in the company. I just want to play a game and enjoy myself. I don't care who made it, I don't care what its name or past history. I care about the current product and if I have fun playing it.

So in the end this helps a bit. I will get the time needed to truly judge AoC before deciding if I wish to continue with it or move on to try Warhammer. Needless to say if Warhammer was released near AoC's time there would be the chance of a rash decision or sitting there paying for two games while trying to decide. Now that may not be the case.
