You people really didn't pick up on the guy obviously trying to come across as ridiculous as possible for the sake of humor? Please tell me that is not the case. I think his life is sad either way, but many of you really need to expose yoursleves to the many wonders outside of the internet; you are really missing out.

Personally, and I know a ton of people share my feelings on this, but it wasn't funny when Kaufman did it either.  If this is a joke, it's not funny and it's just more annoying than anything.  Perhaps Athene gets his rocks off on being hated by being outrageously idiotic, but I don't think that's far from being true to what he's saying.  It's annoying, idiotic, not funny, juvenile, and intentionally meaning to cause controversy than anything else.  There's a reason why Kaufman is looked at by many who saw him at that time as a demeaning jack@SS, and that's because that's what he was whenever people saw him.  The same with Athene.

This is a group of people that consider themselves social activists. They were the ones behind the NEE polical party which made a pretty funny campaign to elect the girl in the video to parliment by promising that she would give a BJ to each of the 1st 40,000 people to vote for her. This same girl has a fictional suicide blog where she is blogging about her taking her own life in 40+ days. This is all fiction, all of it. The NEE movement, the WOW Pro Gamers, the suicide blog. These guys are part of what they call I Power. I dont know what they are attempting to do with the WOW videos, but it is certainly not real. I kinda see what they were trying to do with the NEE thing and with the suicide blog, they are trying to bring attention to social and political problems that they deem important... Kudos to them.

So, please take a minute and realize that whatever it is they are trying to do with the WOW angle, it is not mean to be taken seriously.

I'm just guessing here, but I imagine that they are trying to shine a light on the very people that are getting worked up about the video. I mean, take a second to think about it... Should you be a bit concerned that you are getting worked up about something as trivial as what a person does in a computer game?

This is actually funny... i thought it was serious and therefore sad... but seeing 'Athene' do otherstuff on I Power site makes me laugh... He/They even have MMORPG.com claiming he is a world record holder with little or no proof...
