Give a man a fish it will feed him once. Teach a man to fish it will feed him a lifetime.

I have recently been told that the AoC Environment will not be totally free to roam around. I have heard that there will be a very straight/set path or something along those lines to follow. Is this a true statement?

Played: UO, DAoC, SWG (Pre), WoW, LoTRO, Tabula Rasa, Vangaurd, AoC, WAR...

Actually I am pretty sure the beginning is set path then after that you enter the mmo experience.

I don't mind a little bit of path restricting, I just hope its not like Guild Wars. That game had such a beautiful enviroment that was completely unimmersive or believable as a real living world.

Yea i've read you other comment on the game, your just a Troll on a Stick... or did I mean Turd...

Hey OP wait till Open Beta around MAY 1st 2008 and judge for yourself, then pre order if you want. Thats what i will be doing

The pathing apparently  is not as bad in some other games, but I bet you the environment looks better than anything else coming out this year when you see it. For me that adds greatly to immersion.

Besides Aion / War / Lich king all coming out fall 2008, TCoS no US publisher. No harm in giving beta a go then keeping tabs on the game.

Do or do not. There is no try.

After my scarring experience with Vanguard(which i'm still not over, ugh) its best to pre-order any mmo unless you've been in the beta and are convinced.

With all of the interviews around, there is something that is repeated over and over.  It has to do with how the developers want the player to explore.  Well, unless they are lying, I would have to imagine that you'll have the ability to roam around anywhere you please.

Aye, Unless you have sound evidence that the game will be what your looking for, don't preorder untill you see reviews and outlines of what the game really is. If you have a friend who bought it, ask them to let you give it a spin/watch them play before you buy it.
