Its now due out in Autumn, the reason for the question mark is that i wasnt sure if people thought it was meant to be out before or not, previous ideas were around June as that is what alot of websites said.

So its been pushed back for a few months, that was revealed at the show in Paris this morning, lets hope that isnt the main news :P

Thats fine, I would rather them release a finished and polished game than do what most other developers do and release too early.

yeha im fine with it, in the ign or gamespot interveiw it was stated WAR is pretty much done content wise, so these extra few months are all about making sure everything is perfect.

Additionally it gives WAR a wide berth of the WOW addon and AOC, so if people get burnt out on those two WAR will be right there!

Quite possibly you are correct and in that case it is more to Mythic's credit that they do delay until it's been sorted rather than follow the norm for this genre which has been release anyway and let the public pay for a beta.  Oh and btw, that's what a beta is, a stage of development when fundemental flaws are found and addressed,{ Mod Edit }.  Just thought that I would point that out so that you could address your own fundemental flaws :)

Nah man, AoC will release on the appointed date this time. Gaute Godager stated that it will definately release on the 20th May Guaranteed. Everyone knew WAR was goin to be delayed. Don't expect it until xmas 08 at the earliest id say

Would'ent worry.

DAoC was one of the better games at release. Sure they were very content light (i got to 36 and swapped realms since there was no itemization past 28 or so on release) ... but to thier credit the game was not a total bug-fest. (Sure it had some bugs .. but none were *game-breaking* and it was nothing like alot of MMORPG releases)

Just hope they learned thier lessons from DAoC. For me DAoC started to go downhill once RR's were introduced .. then TOA was killer ... mixing playsyles is great (i'm a fan of PvP and PvE) .. making people play a style they dont want to in order to progress in the area they do want to play is bad. By that i mean ... making PvE folks play RvR for realm ranks to compeate in PvE .. and making RvR folks play PvE (ToA with its MLs and Artifacts) to compeate in RvR = Bad. Keep both styles of play .. but make them have very little (if any) impact on the other style. (Ie RvR rewards that only work on other players and PvE gear thats optomized for MoBs)

Mythic have a great rep of talking to thier player base ... I doubt a delay will turn people off as long as they keep talking to the player bases.

Hell I may even skip AoC for WAR ... waiting to see how they round out atm ... (ffs who am i kidding .. I'll play both :p )

$$$OE$$$
"We got your game"
(and we screwed it)

For the looks of the videos, they better make the game feel much more dynamic and vivid. And solve of course any more basic flaws there might be.

Now Paul has to do a funny podcast about the delay and all will be happy.
