I can't find a single REAL PvP MMO that's still running and/or hasn't been changed ridiculously by it's developers. I've tried Wurm Online, I've tried UO, I've tried EVE Online, and none of them appeal to me - EVE especially, I don't like being represented by a ship in what is essentially a social genre.
   Does anyone know and/or play a PvP MMO which I can get into without going through hundreds and hundreds of hours of grinding? Preferably with an free trial, so I can test it out. And preferably with a group of players willing to accept me.
   Sieges, forts, etc, would be nice, but all it needs is meaningful PvP - I.E. taking something off your enemies.

P.S. No, not Warhammer. Don't even mention RuneScape. Not Darkfall, I prefer for my chances for it to be real. And, yes, I'm waiting for AoC.

lol DAOC is your best bet then lol. you can PVP from level 1 and up!

Shadowbane is restarting a couple of new servers right as we speak, so you should jump on that bandwagon right away. Good PVP, free to play, and everyone will be starting over and forming new corps. Should be an entertaining ride for the next few months.

Exteel and Guild Wars to name a few.  People are saying Tabula Rasa has good PVP too, and Age of Conan will be one of the rare few to launch with PVP beta-tested, and it comes in May.

Guild Wars maybe? No seiges or anything but easily the best PvP i've played in an MMO. Can't beat a good competative GvG.

No grinding involved either as you can make a PvP char from the off and not bother with PvE

Shadowbane restart today, new server everything wiped, and lots of improvements.  Full pvp.

Stay away from DAOC unless you like to be regularly nerffed.Time...money that a player invests in a character means nothing to them.

Unfortunately, your stipulation that meaningful pvp has to have the ability to take objects off of the enemy narrows the list quite a  bit. I actually don't know of anything current like that except that EQ II pvp servers have something where you can take some money, or something like that.

Lineage II but you have to work quite a bit at it and though you can pvp from lvl 1 you won't really make a differene until around lvl 61+. 70s' is better

Guild Wars, great pvp but pvp that lasts for quite a while.

Archlord but it is a grind game like L2
