Darky, an Elemental Shaman with 84 resilience and 603 spell damage, has gone 20-0 over the last two weeks on a 2627 rated 2vs2 team (Saranno Famosi, the #2 rated 2vs2 team in all of WoW according to arenajunkies). His personal rating is up to 2055 as well.

Apparently you can win trade an Arena team up to #2 in the ENTIRE FREAKING WORLD, and gear out a Shaman alt in full Vengeful including weapon and shoulders, without even playing in a match against actual competition and Blizzard doesn't bat an eye in disapproval.

How times have changed. Back in the day when the first few guilds were raiding Molten Core, some guild found an exploit in which a rogue could stealth forward to a boss, aggro it, and then accept a warlock summon back to the entrance. The boss would then go all the way to the entrance without training any mobs with it for an easy kill without any clearing.

Unfortunately some GMs were observing and took away all the loot and handed out suspensions and bans, and in the next patch they fixed the exploit. This is back when cheating/exploiting wasn't condoned. Now it has become apparent that if you're not cheating in arena, you're not trying.

Moral of the story - Cheat or get left behind.

Apparently there are two of them now. Both 20-0 on a 2627 2vs2 team, both with 2055 personal rating....in greens and blues. ONE gem and ZERO enchants between the two of them. This is disgusting.

Although I agree this is a terrible balance problem from the standpoint of Arenas and gear. Blizzard's silence on the subject is not a true measure of  their acceptance that "all is well'.

IM sure if and when the patch comes in and fixes it...and equal number of Hot topic posts wil arise decrying the measure as unfair

I must admit, when I saw the tread title I was prepared to enter... flame gun loaded and ready to go.

However,  after reading the supplementary documents I am prepared to agree with the OP.  Cheating on this level is bad, mkay?  Especially when Blizzard makes S3 stuff (accessable via 2v2 at the minimum) on par with T6 (only accessable via raiding and months of DKP bullshit).  Bliz made this bed, now we get to sleep in it.

AND I appreciate your nod back to the MC stuff.  It's a nice comparison to how the game used to be managed.  That wasn't even cheating, IMHO... it was exploiting.  Both bad, but cheating far worse.

Absolutely awful.  Cheating on this level, unattended to, makes me want to cancel my sub.

Guess I am not really surprised. I figured the arena would be abused some how way back when, but never to this extent. GG blizzard.

I havent played alot of WoW recently.  Could you explain this a bit more?

You aren't supposed to be able to get the gear in 2v2's?

The simple answer is that that isn't the shamans real gear, he simply switches out of it before logging off, so that no oppoenent can see what he's wearing...

Yes. It is a flaw. Yes it is a problem. No its not cheating... See it more as....bending the system ;).

In a way its not exploiting, because everyone else can do it with any character and any class.

Justify it however you want, but you're shortcutting the system in a way that I doubt was intended.

Gear progression has always been the end game of WoW.  If getting to top end gear has been so trivialized, then the whole end game concept has completely been compromised.  Good luck with that Blizzard.. I'm even more glad I walked away from it now.

wish they would have kept arena and bg out of the mix cuz they just put it in to please the ADD pwn you generation .... world pvp with moderate awards for kills would have been enough plus this game has a story so instancing for gear was enough ..... please tell me the pvp community will leave for Warhammer .. please save WOW

Just for the record: The summoning thing was done in UBRS not Molten Core. It was the highest raid instance people were running at that time. It's normal they've been observed. Every new instance is observed for such things.
