Has anyone ever got a game from Walmart through pre-order? Did they get beta, early access codes out on time? 

Or should I stick with Gamestop?

I have always gone through EB/Gamestop and already have my codes. I am sure somebody else has a lot of opinion on Wal Mart though!

I didn't know Walmart even took Pre-orders for games. Shows my ignorance.

 

Anywho, I already got my codes from Gamestop.

So if I go into gamestop and pre-order this non existant collectors edition, which hasn't even been guaranteed a promo code to get into closed beta, they will hand me a slip of paper with some numbers and letters and I re-register?

 

Enlighten me, how does this work?

1. It exists, it's just not announced by Mythic yet. Tons of Gamestops and EBgames are already taking pre-orders and giving out the slips. Some are just handing out the slips without pre-orders.

 

2. It's not access intot he closed beta. It's access to the open beta. But open beta for WAR just means the NDA is dropped, not that everyone gets in.

 

3. No need to re-register. You'll just put the codes in through a little website (Which is up but not functional) to get your bonuses (Early start, two in-game items, and access to open beta).

you know, as much as I really want to play WAR///I just canot buy from WALMART. I made a pact with myself to never go back in that store. I'll wait for Gamestop or EB...or just order from AmAZON.COM

Does anyone know if there are benifits from preordering? (items, etc)

EB and Gamestop should have it in their system as of tomorrow after the official announcement.
