WAR (Warhammer Online)

I would like this game to have gore on the same level as Rune, Severence, and Soldier of Fortune because thats what it's like in any Warhammer novel. However this game isn't being made for Warhammer lore fans, Mythic have said they want a very wide audience so this game is going to be made primarily for kids, women, casual gamers, people who have never played a game ect ect. There was even a guy that wrote into PCGAMER UK saying that as Mythic were looking for a broad audience he applied for beta as female and while all his truthful mates still aren't in, he is.

It's not a reason to stay away from the game, it just makes me worry about where I go to get information about technical issues, support, or general information on the game. Having it spread out like this seems not conducive to new players. I don't like being told to go to 5 different places to look for information.

At the end of the day, it seems like the devs have avoided forums just because they don't want to try and manage them. I can't think of any other reason why it's better to have multiple forums for your game where people have to go to get information.

No, gore only attracts the kids. It's not something mature, it's the contrary. One thing is the rating, but another very different is the kind of people that actually like that, mostly very young teens, and not precisely the reflective type.

No, gore only attracts the kids. It's not something mature, it's the contrary. One thing is the rating, but another very different is the kind of people that actually like that, mostly very young teens, and not precisely the reflective type.

If you fight with axws and swords, you will generate blood, body parts and guts. This should not be considered "gore", just a natural result of the named action.

So please add it. Violence without blood just looks weird.

All WAR needs is a little blood on the swords after a fight, and some good contact sounds.

Of course that would not be gore. So, I suppose they cannot make everyone happy.

Looks like you'll have to go play AoC, oh bother.

So what you're saying here is that the higher the rating, the less mature the player base, and the lower the rating, the more mature...so by your logic, there are tons of adults playing animal crossing and Pokemon.

When you give something the rating of "[ M ] for Mature" it naturally makes the "less mature" players favor it more because by playing it they will feel like they are part of a "more mature" community.

The people arguing that a little "gore" will draw all of the [horribly coined term] "kiddies" to the game are just coming up with -anything- to do and say to give them a sense of elitism and superiority.
