The folks at Star Wars Galaxies have posted a look at some of the collections that will enter the game with Chapter 9.

Chapter 9 includes a number of new collections, including the first PvP collections in Star Wars Galaxies! The Galactic Civil War collections in Chapter 9 reward combatants for participating in the fight against the Rebellion or the Empire.

Player vs. Player Collections

Rebels and Imperials who defeat their opponents in the Galactic Civil War have a chance to receive a collection item upon victory.

Collecting "kills" of your fallen foes in Player vs. Player combat activates the Patch Collection or Rank Collection, which are new slayer collections in Chapter 9.

Sounds good to me,now players will run around S.F.  Give me something to do till my 3 accounts go inactive!

This still does not solve the fact that theres nobody to play with on most of the servers :(

There is already a form of 'clubbing in SWG now, Baseclubbing.  To echo your thoughts, I see some of this as further tools to that effect but we shall see.

At least PVP and the GCW are getting a little more attention.

Looks like another vet trial due soon in yet another vain attempt to persuade vets that the NGE doesn't necessarily have to suck, although it does with the certainty of the sun rising in the east.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

More ways to make content out of dirty Rebels is always welcomed

As for the possibilites of clubbing it, I'm sure it will be possible but I think many will soon find that for the effort needed to club it the reward isn't going to be worth the amount of co-ordernation needed.  Sadly, there are other more viable  ways to club GCW points (which I wish they'd patch up).
