WAR (Warhammer Online)

I can understand the reasons for not having official forums, like wanting the info and such to go out to fan sites, having those sites as the main source of info, etc. But it really doesn't work that well. Info becomes scarce, and people have to visit multiple fan sites for a chance to get some sort of assistance with game issues. People need specific forums for vital info and assistance. People like a one stop shop for all thier needs, and even then second party sites will still exist.

If its because of the whole whiner vs. fanboi thing, it wont really help. They will find other forums to hang out on and scare people away from. So instead of 1 forum with all the post wars, you will have several. The devs will still be dealing with the same issues, just across many forums. Best thing to do is make official forums, link each account to a game account. If the account isn't active, you won't be able to access the forums. That will cut down on a few of the trolls.

There's no good reason to not have forums so you attack Mythic for their decision to not have them. That means there's no bad reason to have forums? There's plenty, so it's pretty much a stalemate. Which is why I said if they have them great, if they don't oh well. It's not something to go crazy about. It's not something to attack Mythic over either...

One thing i have noticed is:

If they ever make an official forum for WAR They will have to put a dead horse being beaten Over and over again as its Home page.

Cause in every none official WAR forum iv ever read, you can always find your way back out by following the traile of dead beaten Horses. 

If i were to read unofficial WAR forums only to find out about this game

id conclude this game Is about beating a dead horse.

Now we just have to tune in to this monotunous channel which plays the same tracks over and over other than silence (which at least would not drive you insane)

Omg people still complain about this? Wow... I absolutely do not see the problem with having the community manage their own fansites, they're just as good. If Mythic doesn't want to babysit people then good for them.

I want to post whatever I want where dev's will read it. Not some form to fill out to the Herald where a hand full of people decide if its worth forwarding or whatever.

I want to know if other people are having the same problem as me (if I have one)

I want to do this on a website related to the company making the game and not some 3rd party passover, where one site will ultimately get preferential treatment than others.
