I like how that SonOfSeth kid pretends to be experienced. He said he has played for four years, and the game has only been out a little over three years, if even that. And level 80s, lol. Typo or stupidity?

I started WoW in September of 2005, and quit in September of 2007. I have seen most of the progress WoW has made, I have been kept up to date on recent patches by friends printing off the release notes and bringing them to me for some odd reason...Anyways, I agree that since Burning Crusade came out, the game has felt old and recycled to me. Raiding before BC was easy and fun, and I liked how we could clear MC and hardly talk about it. Instead, we could talk about beating children, or how the fire-kitty stepped on me, or how I wiped the entire raid by pulling agro off the tank on Golemagg the Incinerator, and he stepped on everyone. We didn't need to discuss strategies every 2 minutes like with Karazhan or these newer raids, we wern't forced to keep our mind 100% on the raid. We could have fun with the people we were raiding with, and I miss those days. Blizzard tryed to pull us in and make raids more exciting...they took away my favorite part of the raids! 40 people in a ventrilo channel laughing and talking about nonsense. Now, them taking away the socializing would be alright if at the very least, the places we saw got our interest! Ragnaros bursting from the lava and *****slapping Majordomo Executus was frightening and hilarious! When I got summoned to replace someone in Zul'Gurub, and the first thing I see is a huge snake covered in fangs, I almost jumped! Those brought atmosphere and a feeling of discovery. What do we have now? Recycled skins (Murmur is like a boring version of Ragnaros), the same dungeon skins (Gruul's Lair looks like Molten Core without the lava and fire), and really, I stopped feeling the intensity of raiding. The best I felt was in Karazhan, when we cleared most of it out, it was cool at first to see where this Medivh guy lived. Maybe I just became numb to it all...but I think that before, it was magnificent! Molten Core's chamber for Ragnaros was humongous! The ceiling was so high up...Karazhan sticks you in cramped rooms with dusty books. It has an atmosphere, but not one that brings a large sense of discovery when you can't even read the books of the greatest Mage of all Warcraft time.

Maybe it is just an oldtimer's thing, but I feel that the raids they are making, they are simply making for the hardcore raiders, and they are pumping them out to fast instead of taking their time to make a raid that us achievers and explorers can have fun with.

Age of Conan looks like it will have tons of exploration and I may be able to get the feelings I had when WoW was new to me, but I am not sure if my computer is upgradable. Need a new graphics card and more RAM to play AoC.

It's less than 3.5 years since WoW was released. And you do not have any lvl 80 toons, the current cap is lvl 70.

OP:

1. Why the heck is this coming so late? The info about the 2.4 patch is OLD, at least the EU site put up that info a long time ago.

2. About your newsletters: do you EVER send out anything that IS NOT WoW related? I'm wondering if Blizzard either bought this site, or if they are paying you to only focus on WoW and nothing else.

I just want some story. I keep saying this but FF11 had it down right as far as that goes. Build in things like burning circles from FF11 where you play through a story line and feel like you are accomplishing something rather then just another stupid run through another stupid dungeon we did every week for last 6 months. And why people keep saying yawn isn't because we don't want new content, we just want content that is new. Another dungeon isn't doing anything for anyone. It is just another 5 man to run with no basis no good story to follow, something that will be mastered in 2-3 days after it comes out and looked over. I would still play FF11 but unfortionently i don't have the time i use to. FF11 is a life not a game because you don't have time to do anything but play FF11. if they wanna do anything i would love to this game is toss in a story line with some cutscenes. Put something liek bunring circles in where all it is, is one big boss fight with a story line built in. I don't wanna play games to mindlessly push 2 for the 2 hours the raid happens. I want some content thats not just another stupid dungeon.

One would think that with Blizzards bottomless well of resources they could at least fork out something innovative. And also, the time between patches has become much longer. Just wait until an alternative to WoW comes out. Blizzard will get a shock (AoC, WAR, TCoS, Aion)  maybe then they will come up with something interesting to keep their fans playing. There is absoulutely NO depth to this game at all. (and dont throw that "9 million people disagree crap at me") I'd say theres very little guys still playing this game from day 1. Even a lot of current WoW players are looking for something more and are just waiting to get away from the game. Bah, I'm angered again...

I don't come to wow for spiritual meaning in my life, I come to play and have fun, pretty simple.   When that stops happening I'm done, but even then you won't see me coming here to bitch about a game that kept me happily occupied for 1000's of hours.

i dont understand why people feel the need to write huge blocks of words and not bother to break it into smaller paragraphs.  Really it doesn't help me with reading it, it just looks like a mess of words.  I'd suggest in the future to break up your reply into seperate points, this would help the reader in understanding the essence of your post.  Another thing that it might help is with people actually reading what you are bothering to write.  Personally I skip by big text blocks as they are usually a sign that the poster doesn't really have an organized line of thinking to present but rather a rant or some absurdely long run-on-sentence.  And at a glance all I see popping out is FF11 and I wonder why someone would go on and on about a game we aren't even talking about here, if it is simply to compare in order to prove that said game is better, then go play it!  I don't care if you don't have the time you used to, you seem to have enough time to write 500 words on why you are disappointed with the upcoming patch, why not take that time and use it ingame instead?  Actually don't answer, I don't really care, I was just trying to come up with enough crap to fill a block as big as yours...and now that you've read it, goodbye.
