Blizzard has announced that they have partnered with EPIC Weapons to create replicas of Frostmourne, the weapon which helped corrupt Prince Arthas on the road to becoming the Lich King.

The legendary rune blade Frostmourne was immortalized in Warcraft III, in which it was taken up by Prince Arthas Menethil, corrupting him and leading to his transformation into the Lich King. We've partnered with EPIC Weapons to create a limited edition replica of the blade in all its horrific glory. This artifact of ancient evil is over 47" long and 12.5" wide, weighing a massive 16 lbs., and is now available for pre-order. For more information, please visit the Frostmourne replica site.

Do or do not. There is no try.

 Looks expensive.

Something like $360.00 USDor so.

I kind of want one even though I'm not really a WoW player for the most part. But that is a bit steep. Still, they did a beautiful job.

There are swords similiar to this which are far far far less expensive and arguably better quality.

I buy a lot of replicas. I just paid 400 dollars for an Indiana Jones hat, hah, so in my searchings I've seen some awesome fantasy swords for 90 to 190. But never THAT much, as this WoW one is going for. 200+ dollars of that is Name alone.

CBSwords.com, for instance, sells a lot of fantasy swords for very cheap.

On the site it says it's $429.00. They have over 500 pre-ordered already and the number is rising. With  the first 99 of them to be in a collector's auction, so they will get more for those.

"Frostmourne Hungers!"

It says purchase price $379.00

But heck, at either price... GIVE ME 5! (kidding, it's very expensive).

Ah, you're right. Just pre-ordering one straight out is $379. If you register to try and win one of the 99 collector's swords through auction it is $429. The number they are tracking is for those registered for the auction.

Not sure it's a good idea to give wow players a real sword.

Id rather buy a katana than that sword ,now that's a real sword.Plus as someone mentioned,it's a bad idea to give WoW players any shard objects ... even blunt objects.Well anyway ,im realy not surprised that the money hungry blizzard released this, they make +15mil a MONTH ,even with all the server costs etc. they should still have 5mil per month and they still need to squeeze every once of money they can from WoW.Other games wich make way way way less money then WoW release free expansions.

But blizzard screws WoW playerbase again by forcing them to buy expansions that offer the same stuff but with a different skin and even more useless time sink.
