Ive managed to fine 2 so far, Vendetta and Air Rivals. Any more out there?, and i mean where you controll your ship not like EVE(boooooooring) Cheers |

Welll, Jumpgate Evolution is supposed to come out later this year and sounds like it might be what your looking for. (except it won't be free)

Star Wars Galaxies has the best space game out there by far. You have fighters to gunboats (gunboats have 6 turrets all of which have to be manned as well as a pilot and an operations person). The ships and all parts (guns, shields, armor and more are player crafted and vary based on resources used). vendetta has a 9.99/month fee but its cheaper in bulk. You can find the game cheap or retail (sometimes 3-4$) and those come with a free month. |

as for SWG, it may be your cup of tea, but for most of us, they changed the flavor of the game while we where playing it. It was a "class-less", "level-less" system. Then they changed it to a class and level system. So alot of people left, including me. The space combat was 'ok' if you dont shoot where the cursor is, then you wont do much damage. |

SWG Space was never changed it still rocks Starsider is the best server for space events and massive pvp battles. Try SWG don't listen to the whiners the game is much improved and I came back. There is a 14 dat free trial so you have nothing to loose.
Where else can you shoot down emeny players? Or fly a x-wing that you trick out or a Tie Opresser know as the Opy king of pvp.
