Until this "incarnation" of Endless Ages proves itself to be legitimate, and not another money grab, I highly doubt you will see it listed on this site again. The game has too much history behind it now to just welcome it with open arms again.

The same reason different incarnations of Mourning were used (Realms of Torment/Mourning/Thrones of Chaos ) to scam people. Because people were willing to believe "They're totally different devs than last time!", only to find out they weren't.

The fact they are even asking for pre-orders when the damn game is barely in alpha stage is enough to throw up a million red flags. And why would they split now? They don't need to split until they've gotten as much pre-order money as possible, which means through alpha, beta, open beta, etc. They can milk the money for months if they wanted too before having to run.

So it's okay if they're scamming people because Paypal will cover the losses? What kind of screwed up logic is that? And when Paypal decides to no longer accept payments for games because of losses due to devs getting away with scamming,  you'll probably be one of the ones bitching because you can't use Paypal anymore. Also, I doubt Paypal is the only way they're accepting money for pre-orders.

 

Seriously, I'd swear you were trying to help these idiots by your responses. You don't mind possibly being scammed, that's on you ( maybe 'cause it's not your money you pay to play games with in the first place, eh? 'Cause you sure don't sound like someone who works for a living from the responses you've given in defense of this game.), but don't expect everyone else to jump in the fire with you. Some of us know the past behaviour associated with certain games/developers, and demand to know everything is above board before throwing our money out the window.

doesnt make sense. so why do i have to buy endless ages when i bought it 7 years ago?

because these idiots just keep nickle and diming people who don't know whats going on. whats next ? an 'expansion' where you add back the phylon crap thats changed just a little bit so you can post with your alias how its not the same? and i bet you will want people to buy it..again. and again. and again. and again.

if a game closes down and someone buys it and does a relaunch of course your going ot have to rebuy it

yes its the same EA doesnt mean its the same fing company to be honest its not a bad game.

there not taking any more pre orders it was a gareentee beta spot if 100 people pre order that played EA before ? thats rasies red flags must have alot of potential to be a good game if it gets updates

 Different incarnations does not mean using the same or different names, it means using the same damn game, but supposedly different as far as setup or devs, etc. So I didn't 'lose" anything and I'm sorry you can't type in full sentences..

And I need proof that it's not the same devs. You can spout it's one of the fans now ( which is funny since others have been saying it's the original owner; guess you guys can't even keep simple stories straight) 'til you're blue in the face or your keyboard gives out, it doesn't prove that your right. And because a company doesn't exist anymore, doesn't mean they can't rename themselves and start again. I mean, are you just typing randomly and not thinking this through? Show us proof. Not somebodies brothers' friend, not some supposed e-mail from the dev, but real proof. Otherwise, toddle off.

You'll notice the devs don't come here to try to convince us they're different people. I don't see them asking mmorpg.com to list them. I wonder why? Could it be because they won't pass close scrutiny? Hmmm.
