MMorpg - The blessing, and The curse of modern gaming.

Its 2 weaks as i play uo now, and i am pure newby.

I played on europa, and really remember that guy, he helped me alot aswel, respect for him. I newer sow that in ather mmos, where someone would help out newbies like that!

Now i moved to atlantic ( even if i play from eu). and atlantic is stuffed! In busy time, you can see loads and loads of poeple around! New heaven, britain, luna etc, i am not even saying about athers who exploring dungoens, or just doing theyr stuff .

I am ex WoW player, and i am very happy with uo ( thought i knew about from before, but newer tryed).

I see more and more poeple coming back to game, and very happy about it. And coolest thing is - RP is moust active, comparing to ather mmos!

P.s. collecting cash now for my first House :D! ( The thing , that WoW can only dream about! ) But i have problems with placement, i think every spot in atlantic is already taken :D. thought i found same free space north/west of luna .

Aye thats the problem with Atlantic its jam packed with ppl and its difficult to find a good place for a house.

Europa is famous for its Roleplay guilds.

It would be worth it for a time passer.  Atleast until / if they release Darkfall.

Hell is other people. Jean Paul Sartre.

I have recently returned to Ultima, and i couldn't be happier, The community has only gotten better over time with much more than a few very helpful people stepping up to help people that are either just starting to play the game  or  returning  vets alike.

I found it quite easy to learn the new UI system and find  it better than i'd expected, with its ease  of use.  Also i havent seen anyone comment yet on the great graphical upgrades,  not only does it look alot better the  new look of the dungeons and monsters make for an almost entirely new play experience.    There has also been some  recent tweaks to some of the monster AI as well as tuning to some of thier stats.

Around the new player areas i see lots of "young" players starting to forge thier way in the vast lands of Sosaria, seeking fame, fortune,   or maybe  both in a world as rich and deep as it is fun and rewarding.

All in all i'd  say its more than worth a try for anyone thinking of a comeback or new players  looking for a game that has both  the best and oldest (and most ) content, as well as a good community that will be there to back you when needed.  "hope tosee ya on Pacific shard!"

Do you work for EA?  If not you should, because you actualy made a game that isn't worth playing sound good.  Maybe you could even run for president?

Depends why you left one year ago?

My guess is whatever it was it has not changed yet.

With luck they may make the game better in a year or two.

At the moment hardly anything happens in game and as far as I can see it they still lose players. (My opinion based on the europa shard)

If EA decides to add new regular content and events then it sure one of the best games out there.

As long as it is in milk modus (pay EA money for a pretty house without any real content a la SIMS) I would say stay away for now.

The only way to breathe life back into that game would be to get rid of Trammel.

UO isn't so much different from those "other" MMO's of today anymore.  You can yell its a sandbox game but its not like it was.  If you wanted to go sit myself in a dungean and farm for wearable armor, or farm for gold so you could purchase wearable armor,  you should go back!
