I'm thinking of reactivating my account. I left about 3 months ago, I have a 17ish Disciple on Sartok... Has the population increased at all? Or is it still a ghost town? Can anyone tell me if the population on Seradon is any good in comparison to Sartok? Is this game WORTH coming back to?? Ex SWG Precu player |

I play on Xeth and the population has greatly improved. Fairly easy to get a group. I dont PvP, so I am not sure of about Sartok. I heard the population on Seradon is very good. There have been a lot of bug fixes and performance improvments. I think its worth it.

Seradon is amazing. Groups going all the time, starting around your level. Lots of nice guilds too that will recruit you and help you level. I play all ghame |

Well PVP servers = LOW while every other server = Medium and this is at peak hours. So the choice is up to you. But game still plays like crap I was hoping this changed by now but hasn't. Or its just that it doesn't liket o play on 64bit vista. I would think 4gb of ram would be a decent amount of ram to play this game without low FPS on a graphical setting that I desire for the system that i have which by numbers should play this pile. I still want vanguard to be a good game but it has yet to answer what i want it too. So i will keep playing EQ2 until EQ3 comes out for my fantasy play. |

With all the improvements and whatnot to game play, and ebonlores forced disband sartok has gotten alot better. For both those reasons alot of people have started up playing again and there are alot of new faces in the crowd. |

I would wait a couple of weeks. Game Update 4 goes live tomorrow. There's some unpopular stuff in it. |

I believe you can have up to 7 characters for a regular Vanguard subscription, and with Station Pass 12. |

Well I finally retried Vanguard & though there are still many noticable problems I had fun during my month. I had originally attempted Vanguard during the launch & it is much better compared, still flawed, lots of work to fix/complete, but much better. Even just a Athlon 2500, 2GB, NVidia 5700 can screech & play Vanguard. Of course on lowest settings & might get 14 FPS & get booted about twice an hour, but most times the fun out-weighed the headache. That & /flush ing every 5 minutes really did help! I would wait to see the reaction from this game-update 4. I remember disscusions about a free-trial isle too from SOE which would be worth waiting for. My decision not to continue playing was because of Vanguard's toll on my computer & game-design/intentions on a few fronts. If i cannot complete a grey/minimal quest because the gear I have just isn't good enough then that is a red-flag to me. There are bugs & glitches galore, but most of them are small & do not hinder the player all the time. There are definite balancing issue not only classes, but with quests etc. It is definitely a big-game! I only played on Xeth & at times populations did seem really sparse, but at times it was okay too. I hope Vanguard gets better! If/when I get a better computer I will probably consider returning to Telon. My one experience with a GM was nice, & the players I met were nice as well. Seems like there was tons of options to do ingame, but it also seemed like the game is still struggling to find itself. I like questing, not much of a PvP fan, & having a grind be longer isn't challenging it's just a longer grind. If SOE takes Vanguard into the grinding/raiding only venue like it did EQ years ago I will probably side-step Vanguard. But currently the only reason I am still not enjoying it is because my computer could barely handle it, & not much sense to play a game designed to be on high swttings when I cannot achieve those settings. However there are a few I would like ot thank on Xeth: Delaville whom I think was a GM who helped me & I appreciate. The first Telon Bard I met named Monna whom saved me from a horrid little quest glitched ambushing room. A fierce Death-Knight I think named Rzariz whom offered me my first group invite to a cool place named Tsang's Tomb something. My utmost appreciation to a player named Beanrai for great crafting skills & gifting me a nice set of Monk armor! Thank you much & I did try to help others that needed while I played & will continue if/when I return. Last but not least my thanks to Krobelus for introducing me to the Hunter's League quest-line, partnering with me, saving me from a few slaughterings, & having an all around good time. Thank you all & I hope Telon gifts you all with much deserved rewards! I hope oneday I can return to Telon with better circumstances. |

Vanguard is on a roll, especially with GU4 coming out today. I cannot speak for Sartok, but the population on Seradon has been growing for quite awhile and you can't toss a stone without hitting somebody. Even in zones that were virtually deserted 6 months ago. Example, I'm leveling up an alt. Last night in RoTK the zone maxed at 40 people with a /who, I got a random invite to heal for an inside group and I was getting 55 fps in the middle of RotK. Compare that to previous toon I leveled through there 6-7 months ago with 9 people in the zone, no chance of a group and 19 fps outside the keep. I remember that vividly because it was the first time I really thought VG might be in trouble. The difference has been amazing. |

Other than some problem with the popup windows going corrupt after a few hours and lots of zoning, the game is working rather smoothly, at full graphics. Other bugs encountered so far are a few random broken quests, one of which a GM popped by to replace a quest item that wasn't being given out (poison vial for raki main quest line). Population for the raki starting area was minimal, but always seemed to be a few others around (and its not far from the main city CB, which had lots of crafters and the like doing their thing, among other things)
