I wouldn't mind seeing blood drip when a player was hit with a bleed DoT (if it is in this game)

I wouldn't mind seeing blood splatter when a player made a critical strike.

My point is that blood/gore should be tied into the game to bring a visual effect to attacks that will change the outcome of a fight which you normally wouldn't notice unless you looked at the combat tab or your health bar.

Also, I don't think this game is visually dark and foreboding - it doesn't scare me, and I doubt it scares any of you.  A video game based on warhammer should have a certain atmosphere to it that seems to be lacking here - maybe they'll add fog, smoke, or turn down the lighting or something before release.  After seeing those screens i don't think a fluffy floppy eared bunny rabbit nibbling on grass in the background would look out of place, do you?

If it's true that they're chasing an M rating then that's great news for old farts like me, as it keeps the number of prepubescents down.

As for adding gore, well why not? If it helps distance it from WoW some more then that can only be a good thing. Yeah I know Warhammer was ripped off by WoW originally but it's still uncannily similar in a deliberate kind of way. Adding blood and guts could help it stand out from WoW's gigantic shadow, creativelty speaking.

Folks,

Nothing has changed with our intent to go for a Teen rating just as we did with DAoC. I have no interest in making WAR an M-rated game now or in the future. If we lose some players who only want to play an M-rated game (or just wish that WAR was M), we'll live with that decision.

See, this is what some (mostly americans) consider to be mature. I call it sick.

Personally, I don't care what AoC is doing. Several people, including me, have found it just sad that the Conan stories have been degraded into a game of that style.

As for the "Sweet Fatality", I find it pointless. I always view my goal as to kill people as quickly as I can and move on to the next. Sitting there for another 3-5 seconds to stomp on their head is just wasted time for me, and something I would very quickly get bored of seeing.

KEAS players are often individuals who like to feel immersed in a virtual worlds and see themselves as a great villain or crusader within that world. They seek out challenges against other players, but they are going to find all the areas of that world. They'll often know about the best hiding places and ambush points

To anyone over the age of 12 (mentally), Gore is irrelevant.

It is a waste of development time that could be spent getting the game released.  And after 6 months redesigning all the animations and effects to add gore, the kids who cried for it will be bored seeing it within 30 minutes anyway.

It just crazy to even consider adding new stuff at this stage that will eat away at development time.

So patch it in at a later date, if they really must waste time on fluff like, this but dont add it now and extent the time until release.

Ive heard they no longer going for Teen rating, so i really hope they add gore in the fights. If anyone in beta around...plz spam the beta forums with WE WANT GORE!!! Those pvp videos ive seen so far dosnt please me.

What the hell, are you some sick F**K. Is this what gets you off in a game. I'm glad no one in my family knows you. I'd fear for their safety.

Maybe u dont understand that this belong to the lore of warhammer...too bad. Theres probarly lots of things u dont understand.

And what you fail to understand is that many players of this game don't really care about Warhammer lore, and certainly I don't recall seeing any miniatures that went splat when you hit them.

ok read the lore. i also want gore.  and approx 60% of people came to this because it is Warhammer

Let Them HATE, so long as they FEAR

60% of people came to this because they want RVR, and don't give a damn about warhammer lore.

Actually I changed my mind I'll say 95% of people who will subscribe to warhammer won't give a damn about lore.  They want fun gameplay and RVR.
