And i challenge you, gimme an orc from any game that look any better. And on the overall graphic id say Darkfall just passed Age of Conan graphic wise. Why improve if you already have the best graphics of any MMORGPG? Those screenshots is the best presented so far and the big leaves behind the orc and the mahirim is just about photorealistic. The dark, realistic and gothic graphics is so much better then all bright and blending cartoon graphics arround. |

As for AoC Graphics, meh, doesnt really impress me all that much. Edit: Mind you I am not a fanboy for DF or AoC, nor do I plan on playing either. But if DF can pull it off, they will have one good looking game. |

The graphics are scalable, and they have to be because I can guarantee you that most people will not be able to do big pvp battles with everything turned on MAX, sure if you got dual vid cads good for you but there's only a small minority of people who can afford that kind of system with DUAL Graphic Cards running at the same time. It's funny when people bitch about the graphics especially when we know that the same people bitching about them wont even be able to run the game visualy on high settings because of their systems. DF's visuals look good, but I can tell you know that my PC will not be able to handle this kind of load; dual processor is a must, at least 1k in memory and 256mb graphics card, 512mb card would probably do the trick. Look at the detail of vegetation, not sure if its on medium, high or Max but reguardless my PC can't run this type of shit in this kind of detail. Looking at the surroundings, the draw distance is not on MAX/high because you can't see this vegetation from far away; anywho this is starting to worry me but glad that there will be scalable options otherwise I don't see the possibility of running this game on these types of settings. |

Oh I'm not saying it wont be scalable, its just what the game might look like when scaled down to run at more than 20fps in heavy load. Just look at EQ2 when it was being made. They showed all these amazing screenshots and vids of what the game looked like, and then 2 years after release there were people who still couldnt get it to look as good as it was shown to be. Same for VG. That right there can turn a lot of people off from a game, hence why WoW was so system friendly, and why War went the same route. Having a game that will look good when technology catches up to it is not a good idea because people will either try it and dump it, or not even bother at all, going elsewhere with thier money. That path only really sorta works in single player games. |

Graphics aren't everything at least you know that more people will be able to play it on max settings. I really doubt you will need anything more than a mid range computer to run this game on high settings. This game will probably be on par with WoW specfications for running, which is a good thing especially with the type of combat system they have, and I assume most sieges will have around 100 people in as well so most players will probably not be able to run the game if the graphics were any better than this. The sky looks terrible btw, and the character models as well. Good thing there are helmets in the game. The environment looks fine. I think Darkfalls graphics are tolerable, they do not make me want to play the game nor do they put me off playing it. I guess the word for them would be mediocre which is acceptable for most it is gameplay at the end of the day that will keep the majority playing. Still no PvE shown in the screen shots, and videos. Hope they show some, with the AI they keep boasting they have you think it would be one of the main focuses. Especially considering most will PvE at some point to get the starting gear, gold etc so it would be a good idea to show it is not a after thought in gameplay. |

Want Darkfall now! |
Im nor sure of this, but doesnt hardcore players lower the graphic settings to reduce lag? Thats some advice i have got from PvPers., in many MMOs. If thats true, its sad. |
