Ok so I am eagerly anticipating AoC like alot of you but I am unable to upgrade my computer anytime soon. Will I be able to play the game even on low settings with the below system. I recently got the vid card from a friend I had an ATI X800XL before. Below are the main components let me know if there is anything else I should post. Thanks in advance. Oh and btw I currently play LotRO around med/high settings and its fine and I can play crysis on mediumish settings.

AMD Athlon 64 3200+

1GB RAM

GeForce 8600GT

Well according to those specs I do meet the minimum specs so I guess I should be ok. I just want to make sure it is worth making the purchase, because if I cant play there is really no point picking it up.

We are recruiting.

Unless it's been updated, the Systemrequirementslab.com AoC page was entirely conjecture and now that we know the actual specs, completely and utterly wrong.

It looks like you meet the minimum specs and then some OP. You might want to invest in some more RAM though, as MMOGs notoriously use a lot of it. Another gig or two would be great, and it's pretty cheap right now (4g of high performance G.Skill 2x2 DDR2 800 is only $90 right now! Thats 4 gigs of some of the best gaming RAM on the market, for under $100 bucks!)

Edit: It looks like the site has been updated, save a few things. Like 'requires 30g of hard-disk space'. Thats not only assinine but it's undoubtedly COMPLETELY wrong lol.

You'll be able to play the game on medium to low settings, but you really should consider getting another gig or two of RAM. That's going to make a lot of difference for you in terms of lag.
