Darkfall

OMG Darkfall is pure vaporware.  The supposed game has been in development for what.....20 years now?  The devs obviously have no clue as to what they are doing....perhaps if they moved out of their moms basement and put forth a little effort, their game might see the light of day.

OMG Darkfall is gonna be awesome!!  It's about damn time some developers try to break out of the WoW mold.  I am so glad they are taking their time to do things right.  The videos look fantastic and anyone that thinks this isn't coming is truly clueless.

  These types of posts are commonplace at this site no doubt.  They are merely someone putting their opinion into text.  Some tend to be a little more ambitious than others as we all know.  To limit or moderate these opinions IMO is wrong.  If they don't hurt anyone  whats the big deal?

  Perhaps they differ from yours....and there in lies your problem with them.

  Lots of forum sites out there.....if you do not like this one.....go elsewhere.  The moderation here is fine.

If that was enforced verbatim, I'd never be heard from again, as a good amount of my posts in ALL forum sections on this site are negative. Not so much by choice, rather by the fact I care more about what is NOT being said and shown than what IS. Again, as long as a valid reason is given, negativity is fine. These are not the rose-colored forums alot of people ( mainly devs and fanbois ) wish they were.

In other  sites, posts are deleted constantly. So you really can't have a discussion at all.

I think they need PVP threads and non PVP threads or plainly put they need free for all threads where it is enter at own risk and threads that are more subtle that want positive constructive reply's be left that way then the job will be easier for moderators as the only threads they will have to monitor is the Carebear threads to make sure there are no flame post so post will have to be checked before being allowed to reply and the free for all are just a gaming slang match lol.

But hey this is my  opinion im just a silly lil noob with a stupid idea and to be honest with you i dont know what i am talking about when i am typing this just thought i would try and give an example of what they could do.

See, what the OP is failing to see is that a lot of what he sees as trolling is nothing more than someones observation and opinion. This happens a lot on forums. When someone like Ghoul posts that the vids are showing nothing new, just the same old same old, thats his observation, not trolling.

When people point out that the game has been in development for the better part of ten years, yet all that is ever show are screenshots with characters, and videos of grass and trees, its an observation. What starts the trolling is when someone comes in to defend the game by pointing out that people are not reading what the devs post about thier progress, getting all defensive when someone doesnt agree with them.

Many of us have been watching the development of the game for a while, and while textual updates are fine, people want to 'see' the progress. When posters start attacking the skeptics with blind fan faith, it leads to trolling and forum chaos.

If you feel someone is trolling, report them.

If you don't agree with someones claims, point out where they might be wrong.

If you have a feeling that it's some rogue angry agent of doom who is creating multiple accounts to bash the game, don't post in response, just report them.

As a confirmed Troll, I say this forum is well moderated.&
