I don't know how many of you are parents, or what not. But I just became a new dad..
which MMO's on the market are gonna be easier than others to juggle with a baby? This means getting interupted alot, and having to solo alot.

guild wars is a good one.
WoW is ok (unless u raid or do dungeons a lot)
DnD online is the hardest to solo but it can be done (and its fairly laid back)
it really depends on what you want to do Guild wars is great for a short MMO (and i mean short. each expansion maybe another month or so added on) WoW is for the long term DnD Online is an interesting one. only choose it if you pick a class that can solo (like a rogue or Cleric) and enjoy dungeons (as that is what the quests are)
p.s Congratulations on the baby |

A lost gamer looking for the MMO of his dreams. |
I'd say Eve. It is very get-up friendly, unless your out in .0 or doing pvp ops. Missions are able to warp away if need be, mining is easy enough to sit there a few mins, or just dock and go back to waht your doing when you are done. I'd think this would fit into your busy life. And congrats on being a dad. |

As a fellow gamer dad, i would strongly suggest sticking to Single player RPGs. Oblivion, Dungeon Siege 2, Neverwinter Nights 2, The witcher. Gotta put baby first always and if you start playing a MMO and join or make a guild you will split your attention. Getting into the deep mod community of Oblivion will enhance the game play tons, Try obscuros oblivion overhaul. Almost makes it into a new game all by itself. Anyhow, best of luck with the baby, just remember one thing, all that time you have with your newborn really goes by super fast and if you don't take the time to watch you will miss it all, i regretfully did that with my first born son. I was a cross country truck driver. Just try not to split your time between online friends and your baby. Baby first and i promise you in the long run you will appreciate it. Good luck. |

Shadowlord and Dradiin both have good options and I would consider those to be the best. As a new dad myself I have found a home in EVE. I can progress on a skill poiint basis over time, not over grind. So when I am offline, my character is still moving forward and I don't feel the need as if I had to keep up with one another. Aside from keeping up, in EVE you generally don't have to worry about who's what level and you can always game with your non-parental friends without that worry. Other than EVE, single player RPG's, as mentioned would be the next best thing. No monthly fee and something called a pause button. Congratulations by the way on becoming one of the newly inducted dads of the MMO world. |

I was thinking about WoW..
as I am currently able to play EQ2 right now.. but for some reason, I yearn the simpleness of WoW again...
I'm not planning on raiding or anything that much.. more so of a PVP player..
seems like the only MMO on the market with a plausible pause button. |

In your situation i'd go with EvE all the way, and it seems like you haven't tried it (or I cant find it in your "little" list there) so why not give it a shot? Oh, and grats! |

As already stated, single-player is a great way to go so that you never let people down. However, I realize sometimes interaction is a huge thing for a lot of MMO players. Mabinogi seemed very good for what you are asking - dungeons can be run quickly and you can also do a lot of in-town "crafting" without the need to group with others and such. Dream of Mirror Online can be good for interruptions as it's a solo-friendly game, but most of the content isn't as quickly completed. Both are free (with item malls), although I think DOMO would be better for those on a budget. |

Congrats on the new baby. Been through it three time so i can relate. The biggest thing when your a gamer dad isnt so much the game, but the people you play with. I'm in The Older gamers. We play every game out there and we're all adults and most have kids. People understand when you have to go change a diaper, or fix a bottle. Check us out. www.theoldergamers.com |
