SWG is gone..Fallen Earth is eagerly awaited http://fallenearth.com

Probably only forum I could post this in and not get baned or something.

If they took over the titles SOE has and put them in proper working order they would just about have the market cornered(not that they don't now).

Whatever you may think about WoW,It works.

If all the games SOE has were put in good working order they way they were FIRST intended to,I don't doubt that they would at least double in active accounts, some might even go up by a factor of 10..cough***SWG cough.

I don't mean convert to clones or dumb down, but like they were first ment to be,only working ,without bugs and such.

These forums would be like Lowca, empty.

I know,I know wishful thinking, probably more delusional than anything

lmao...I am pretty sure Sony is a juggernaut over Blizzard and would never sell SOE to a competitor... Lets post reasonable dreams next time.  Yalls posts crack me the hell up sometimes.

SOE is but a tiny part of Sony's huge empire.

at any rate i would much rather see a diverse gaming industry than 1 giant dominating everything else.

"Train yourself you must, to lose everything that you hold dear" -Yoda

Keep Dreaming....Blizzard is going the way of the Dodo bird and so too was Sony before they finally released the Playstation 3. Too little too late.  A more agile company would have developed and released the technology and games sooner if it were humanly possible. We gamers want cutting edge today, not delayed year in and year out with addtional delay announcements and cancellations due to hostile takeovers and mergers.

I wish Blizzard already had a sci-fi MMO like Galaxy of Starcraft or something like it...not just a Starcraft 2 RTS that the Dawn of War *(Warhammer 40K) series has already softened the gamer market with its 3 releases, a 4rth on the horizon and many more races you can play...than just the 3 races Starcraft 2 will boast on its release.

SOE missed the opportunity to run multiple game verstions on a spectrum of servers it already has with SWG...a Pre CU, CU, NGE choice would have kept their subscribers and kept the peace. me included. I admit some occaisonal visits back to my subscription to see how good their improvements are...but still wish like many to have my Creature Handler back with it's larger pets. I am back to WoW till AoC or EVE finally allows the pilots to disembark their ships to be able to learn how to fire a weapon in a space bar.

MMORPG should just incorporate, round up this community and develope the killer MMO we could all live in. They are sitting on a gold mine of MMO culture and know what we want.

And as for my Dodo bird comment....it will be pretty old when it dies...and so will we be when it finally does. My point is if they keep using the same game theme forever thinking its accepted, they will have misunderstood us all and lose us gradually to bigger and better MMO's that will eventually replace them.

I do wish SOE would be sold to Blizzard.

Why?  SOE incompetence would inevitably infiltrate WoW and help it fail.  There isn't a single developer or manager who works for SOE who is worth his or her weight in red bull, and their incompetence would end up harming WoW.

WoW declining and failing is what those of us who hate that kind of game need most to happen for us to get MMOs that are different again.

i wish blizzard did own soe. it would make being a forum terrorist much easier on me as i hate both companies equally

arguing with a corporate fanboi is like teaching special education.
even if you teach him something...at the end of the day he's still retarded.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if Blizzard (which seems to me, without directly observing, just a general impression) is something of a gonzo anti-corporate outfit, while SOE is VERY Harvard MBA in outlook.  Which means it's dumber than a box of hammers when confronting the real world.

I think there would be a substantial clash of corporate cultures if the two were brought together.  I'm not sure if Blizzard's "the game has to be fun and working before we publish it" attiude would survive contact with SOE's "the players will never know we're using the revenue from the expansion to actually complete it" philosophy.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.
