Freedom is the will to be responsible to ourselves.

I made a post several months ago about Prototype and the more i see about it and it's development the more exciting i get about the game.

Will we ever see MMO's work that way.......only time and tech will tell  and afcourse hope the game turns out what they are saying it will deliver.

Seeing how they made NYC is quite impresive.

It's one of them games that  gets abit of hype and reviews of 8/10 which is good but gets pushed aside by all the blockbusters that year as it didn't do anything to stand out.

May i ask what blockbusters are coming, from all the games that are in development, meaning hte singleplayer games this one is the only one that atleast from what i've seen/read looks different, every other pc game only looks upgraded compared to what the same type of games have alway's been. Prototype especialy how they are re-creating NYCi atleast have  not seen in a game before, sure some attempts where made. But overall it's gameplay and graphics are something i have not seen any other developer get into. Kinda looks to me like GTA meets Assasin Creed.

If you know a few games that look/feel better then Prototype in it's genre please let me know. Meaning in the singleplayer space.

- MGS4 Always loved played Metal Gear Solid and this new addition could be the ONE, again different type of game in my opinion.
- GT5, Racing man....racing, nothing to do with the type of game prototype is/will be, though afcourse i love hte Grand Tourismo games for what they are.
- FF13 Never gotten into hte final fantasy series, though a few of my friends play it, but again avery different type of game then Prototype
- SSBB A couple of my online friends are totaly in to Mario...sorry not me, again such a differnt game then Prototype is...
- Fallout 3 RPG and it's probebly gonna be a good one....keeping my eye on it, but again a very different type of game.
- Resident Evil 5 Not my type of game ......anymore
- Gears of War 2, Definitly getting that, like the endgame and voice, i really enjoyed the single player campaign and since a few weeks occasional fiddling into multi player.
- Ninja Gaiden 2 Not my type of game ......anymore, though 2 does look very nice, so might give it a shot.
- StarCraft 2 RTS is my friend, nuff said  (not all tho)
- Little Big Planet hehe might even tyr that game
- Killzone 2 Tried 1 but somehow didn't like it.
- Resistance 2 Tried 1 but somehow didn't like it.

Lots lots more

So from all those games you mention not one i can see doing the things i have read/seen from prototype, most of them are very different type of games, the only game that comes to mind that gets close to the amount of character freedom seen in Prototype would be Assasin Creed.

So hope you now understand what i meant, i'm not saying there are no other better or greater games, i'm saying i've not seen yet what at this point seem very inovative with Prototype doesn't mean the other game or those you mentioned arn't innovative, but eahc on their own style. and just a differnt game then those you mentioned.

It doesn't matter at what type of game it is because the people buying these games wont care, they just see the big names advertised and gettign amazing scores and go out and buy them instead and Prototype will go unnoticed.

Say for example if someone buys Rock Band then they ain't going to have any money to want to go prototype and specially if like theres GTA there and what are they going to go for? Then they see gears and mgs4 etc etc........

To be fair though I think prototype will be average game and all the ones I listed on the most part are going to be amazing.

Innovative? It's a next-gen Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. That's not a bad thing, of course. I think Prototype is going to be one of the best games coming out this year.

Whether it will sell well or not aside, I'm very excited about this game. I've also been following it for months since I first heard about it. Imagine, a game where you essentially play as the beast from John Carpenter's version of The Thing, with a more human and anti-heroic face.

I especially like how the more biomass Alex absorbs, the heavier he becomes and the larger the impact crater when he lands.
