I dont know much about computers but ive been piecing together parts with the help of a friend to buy off of newegg. I just want to run it by some of you more tech savvy people to see if you guys think its a decent gaming rig. Think it will run something like Crysis on fairly high to max settings? Heres what i have so far... Anything i could upgrade or downgrage for low cost? If worse comes to worse does anyone know any good custom gaming computer bulding sites? I dont know how to build a computer and i was going to let my friend do it, but if he doesnt want to that might be a problem.

| "We already have two operating MMOs. We launched a game called Ultima Online in 1997. It's still got hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Then there's Dark Age of Camelot, we also have a situation where we have well over 100,000 subscribers." -Frank Gibeau of Electronic Arts. Does it seem odd that UO has more subscribers than the best RvR game on the market? |

I am partial to the gigabyte x38. They just came out with the EX38-DS4, which is a very nice board for 204.99 on newegg. You get dual pci-e 16x lanes for true crossfire, and there is no need to update bios for either wolfdale or the new quads coming out. Even if your not sure about bios flashing, the gigabyte board i suggested offers 2 physical bios chips for added security in case you fubar up a flash. It's just a suggestion. |

I am building my pc as well...
My choice was this:
Motherboard: Asus P5K Deluxe Wi-fiAP Its a bit more expensive but will work incredibly well.
Processor: [Socket 775] Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00Ghz Dont get the E6750 if you can get the one that goes for 3.00 Ghz at the same price than the one that has 2.6 Ghz...
For a little more money you can get a bigger HD (I am buying a 320 GB one).
Hope this works fine for you. I am spending 650 USD but I start with a monitor, video card and cd//dvd.
