"How do you kill that which has no life"...Take away its computer. |
My opinion is that, Its sometimes the developers fault...Well mostly the suits to.
They put big money into making these type of games, There not meant to be instant gratification, They want players to get addicted and keep paying them money. Everything in MMO's are slowed down and meant to keep you paying longer. |

I'll just state my opinion. Even though people tends to blame the people who make the product, I blame the people who misuse the product.
If there is an TV show that's as addicting as video game, would the producers get blamed for this? If somehow extreme sports are as addicting as video game, would the one who create the sports, or one who sponsored the sport to make it as it is get blamed?
In the end, all of these, including video games, are just forms of entertainment for people. Some may use these tools of entertainment with responsibility, and some will not. So who's to blame? The one who mis-use them of course. |

It's the players fault. They don't have enough common sense to understand what it means to play responsibly. The would rather hook up Mountain Dew IV's and use bedpans to crap in instead of stepping away from the computer for at least an hour or more and get a taste of real life. That's like blaming casinos for gamblers. People need to take responsibility of their life. Get away fom the computer, go outside, breathe fresh air, get a girlfriend/boyfriend, go see a movie, etc. But some won't listen and they will end up fat, stanky, addicted gamers. |

The players fault for not seeing they have the addiction and not getting help.
It's the developers fault for exploiting the addiction of players. |

I'm going to agree with Forcan. People are responsible for their actions. If you can't play a video/MMO without getting 'addicted', imagine what else you can be over come by...Drugs, Booze, Sex, picking your nose...whatever. Take some personal responsibility no matter what it is in life or you will always find 'addiction'.

Who is more the troll? The troll or those who feed them? |
You know, I'm really very disappointed in the way in which you assert there is such a thing as game addiction to the point where you're unwilling to question this and instead start trying to lay blame. The absolute abortion of critical thinking I'm seeing here tells me that this topic is fated to be nothing but kid talk. Not that there's anyting wrong with that, I suppose. Spam away, kiddies. Just remember that the sooner you get in the habit of questioning the validity of your questions, the faster you'll learn to get to the truth of things. |
