Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Do you guys think these helms look good and were worth the time / effort?

Firstly this should have been in at launch and can't believe it's taken them this long, spose theres only one guy working on them though lol. Also like all the Vanguard art the ones i've see so far do look really bland and boring. Look at WOW's armour for example, I know it's crazy and over the top but that game just has some kool armour.

Sure it's a step in the right direction but I don't understand why they can't make the game look nice, If I tried to get my friends to play Vanguard they'd just look at the screens and say the game doesn't look as good as wOW and carry on playing it... while I showed them EVE ONline and LOTRO and SWG (back in the day) and they all played them and thought the games looked great.

Vanguard needs a major facelift but it's something the game just wont get.

Generally I'm impressed...the Kojani style looks amazing. Overall very pleased with the result.

a year waiting to get THOSE??? LOL glad my wife and i have already unsubed....horrible.  I thought the original EQ half elven plate helm graphic was the worst SOE could do.................

Helms in any game look like a pile of retarded garnished with a helping of stupid, but these are easily the worst since EQ1 chain Elmer Fudd earflap hats.

I can't say I like any of them but I've never liked helms in any game I've ever played. I'm happy for the people who wanted helms in the game but it was never anything I cared about. I'm just glad there's an option to hide helms.

I just not went back to VG in order to test the new things coming for Update 4 and I can honestly say that 90% of the helmet skins look like shit.

Kojan helmets are nice and the qalian caster helmet but the other helmets are pure jokes (I wonder was the art team high when they made these). I mean come on it is not that damn hard to code in a nice looking helmet in a game (Guild Wars did it, DDO somewhat). I mean the helmets and the way they bent and contorted the faces of races in order to fit them in is just down right a nightmare.

Blah, all I can say is I hope they don't release them helmets the way they are currently because they look like something out of a EQ2 nightmare.

I look forward to trying mine on! Just another thing SOE has gotten done, and hopefully, they keep chugging away.

I love my new helms.  And if you think they look anything like eq2 you need to really get glasses they look night and day better then eq2....  and a lot more variety as well.
