For those that were thinking that SOE was losing the license for SWG in Feb, the official answer from SOE, again, is no, SOE isn't losing the license for SWG. Announced in the Podcast released today (57:40 if you want to jump straight to it). Listen a little on beyond that as they bring up the whole expansion thing too ;) |

| And that is why... Conservatives' pessimism is conducive to their happiness in three ways. First, they are rarely surprised -- they are right more often than not about the course of events. Second, when they are wrong they are happy to be so. Third, because pessimistic conservatives put not their faith in princes -- government -- they accept that happiness is a function of fending for oneself. They believe that happiness is an activity -- it is inseparable from the pursuit of happiness. |

We the SWG player don't want $OE to keep the license. They shown in their actions towards us the SWG fans that they unworthy to keep that license. The low subscriptions numbers and the bad reputation of Star Wars as MMOG experience will persist as long as $OE keeps the license so for Star Wars IP not to be damaged further is by far better if license get pulled from $OE. So this is really bad news, stagnation and a unsuccesful concept of a StarWars online world will remain for additional time and maybe hinder some positive progress that could be done. |

DON't agree to $OE 's EULA. They change the gameplay without respect your investement. "There was suppression of speech and all kinds of things between disturbing and fascistic." So the license ends in 2009. Cool. Would fit nice with all the BioWare/LA rumors floating around ;) |

Haha, I love what they say about MxO and Planetside. First comes the user friendly version: 59:28: "It's not going away. Until the last few players decide they don't want to play any more, it's going to be there." Then comes the company friendly version: 59:38: "As long as it is financially feasible for us to run those servers." |
