After waiting and waiting and waiting I finally gave up on SB and am now playing WOW again!

The news of the wipe was probably the worst thing that could come out of UBI/SBG because it made people stop playing on the live servers. With very little people to play with and uncontested mines and all cities the game got to boring to wait and many of us have came back to WOW as our nation. 22 of us in all left and will not be returning. Why? Because UBI in relation to SBG have done us wrong. With the lack of forethought and experience they have all about ruined or killed SB. Now I am not saying that there won't be new old vets for the new servers on launch day whenever that is, I am saying that it is grossly incompetent of them to put this news out and have no idea what they are doing. For crying out loud SB doesn't even maintain a full pay working staff to fix the game. SO what happens when major bugs come up or new dupes on the new servers, how long before those get fixed?

This is all the info me and my nation have considered and so moved on. With a population the size of the smallest Alaskan town the game now is very unplayable for live servers till this new servers open and once again we find everyone on there who will try to overdo things like CN or ORP nations who want to take it all in force. I and all of us see SB as a dead horse now. This is not a OMG SB sucks because it is not. SB was an amazing game with great character development and PVP and now it is lost. One guy in our guild keeps saying on vent every night that he has info that UBI plans to shutdown SB after the new servers go live because they are testing some sort of thing for Darkfall. A conspiracy that darkfall devs paid UBI in house to test some stuff within SB so that they can see if it works because of the lack of testing that darkfall has.

I moved on, well most players moved on and quit. With many of them working people who can't find the time to restart the character development and gear they see no reasons to return. So good bye and good luck to all you and lets hope DARKFALL comes out soon so we can once again have some amazing PVP.

Yeah, I can see where the announcement of a wipe would make playing on the current servers more or less useless.  But I find it even more entertaining that DF is being considered as behind the conspiracy.

Yeah and we keep telling him hes nuts to but he says wait and see. I guess if you did speculate it makes some sense knowing darkfalls staff took a few days off openly admitting to it on a question, saying they are playing SB..I dunno man I just am so sick of all the SB crap lately thats affected our players and gameplay. But whatever they do it won't be a success.

Personally I can't wait for the wipe. Gives all the players that quit a reason to come back. There were way too many inactive guilds... It will turn out just like it was but at least for 2 or 3 months it will be fun to see the rising of the server you're on.

I see no problem in leveling again and getting new gear. Might take a week at most to get to lv75, that's if I only play 2-4 hours a day. I'm sure everyone will be decked out and lv75 within the first 3 weeks anyways.

what interview mentioned the df devs were playing sb?

22 of you leave, hundreds more will return.  Fair trade imo.

If you can't find the time to do it in Shadowbane, the quickest leveling game in the genre, how are you going to find the time to do it in Darkfall? If it ever comes out that is.
