i have all the guildwars games, and they dont have a montly fee, and i really like them. or, should i wait about a year, and get guildwars2, which will be just like WoW, with a unlimited level, the ability to jump, and climb, and still, no montly fee....?

i wanted to know if it would be worth getting WoW, even with the fee, or just stay with the microfee games?

Guild Wars 2 is not going to be like WoW.  Every game that has copied WoW has had nowhere near as many subscribers as WoW its self.

WoW and Guild Wars are very different games for very different people.   The unlimited level thing isn't even confirmed.  If you are willing to pay a monthly fee for WoW then go ahead it might be fun. Their is a 14? day trial for World of warcraft.  If you don't like retreat to gw but if you like it be wary though it will suck out your soul.

This comment gets so tiresome.  WoW, in of itself, is a "copy" of other games.  They didn't do anything groundbreaking, they simply combined the elements of other successful MMOs into a smooth release with low requirements a childlike learning curve and good advertising.

I can't agree with you anymore, but lets please keep the wow hate out of this thread.

LOL!  I'm not even "slamming" WoW, but please, quit talking about WoW like it was groundbreaking in any sense other than public acceptance and consumer count.  I don't "hate WoW", I don't play it and it's not for me, but they published a great game for a lot of people.  They didn't, however, invent the wheel.

Actually both sides get tiresome.

#1 WOW doesn't suck ...actually it's fun and great for those new to MMO's

#2 WOW isn't the greatest MMO ever made...most subscribers doesn't = best.

Now..I don't know if this is still the case but at one time WOW offered a 14 day trial available..I mean what better way to decide for oneself than that.

Most people waste so much money during the course of a month it is ridiculous. If you go to see a movie and get popcorn it's $15 right there. A cover for a club is often times $10-20, a drink at a club is $10. Going to a semi-expensive restaurant for one meal is more than $15. It's not my place to say what is expensive to who, but it's not too difficult to allocate some cash to it by sacrificing something else, especially when the game could get you tens of hours of joy per month. Also, WoW is a good game, not my taste, but exquisitely done and it will be fun. Cryomatrix

It all depends on taste.  I personally would spend 15$ on entrance to a dance club over 15$ for a video game in a heartbeat, but I'm a social person.  It all depends on priorities and lifestyle.  I do pay for games I play at least once a week but some people have to be really dedicated to decide to spend their money.
