 I really have to say, the thing that rakes my nerves, and the only thing in any of your post to do so, is the "it's going to be just like WOW" comment.

    I would really love to see you explain that in more detail as to how this will compare to WOW, only because I see this same comment in every forum for every game that has been released, or in development since WOW came out, "It's a WOW clone", "It's WOW with a little UI tweak", "This game is WOW2". Etc...

   I don't think this is the lines your head towards when you are comparing it to WOW, but I am not certain.

 As far as the Conan lore, I personally could care less, because the only Conan I am familiar with are the movies, which I liked. This game could be called Barbarian world for all I care, the game is what I am looking to play not the story.  BUT! from what I have read on the games website, the lore seems to be there for the most part.

 I do agree with you about the chick that is on the page, and she has gotten quite a bit of press. But hardly fierce warrior material.....she looks like one of the warriors from a low budget porn production of Conan more then from the lore of Conan.

 But in the long run, none of this has anything to do with the original topic. So don't matter.

You all have it backwards.

First off, FF11 was clearly designed to work best on PS2. Any of you ever play FF11 on a PC ? I had to spend hours reading their manual just to try and figure out how to open my inventory and other basic actions. Some things I never did figure out. It wasnt intuitive at all. Hitting "i" or control "i" or shift "i" or the other classic means of opening inventory didnt work.

Just because a release date for console is later than the PC version does NOT mean the game is designed to work for PC. Its clear this was the case for FF11 and guess what, its also true for AoC.

If anything, PC users should be the ones complaining because they are getting the short end of the stick. Combat in AoC is absolutely designed to work best on a gamepad. So those here complaining that they'll need a keyboard and mouse for their console is misguided. In fact its likely it will be us PC users having to install and configure a gamepad into our PC's to get the combat to work decently.

Take a look at the recent video clips for combat in AoC. If your using a keyboard / mouse setup prepare to have a 3rd hand grafted on because you'll need it. No question a gamepad will work much better for the combat.

It is in fact my one and only complaint about the game. Everything else looks great but Im not too crazy about AoC's quasi-fps combat system with no auto-target and no auto-attack

Why does it have to be vs.?  Granted 14 year olds calling everyone nigger is rather annoying, but killing them...oh killing them repeatedly is so much fun.  Quite frankly its why I play games... Anyways, sure there are turds on 360, but there are also really cool people. 

As far as the game itself, I seriously doubt they would sacrifice game mechanics for cross-platforming.  If they did, why bother with Direct 10?  Why not the bare minimal there?

i think MMO's are gonna make thier move to consoles pretty soon. much larger console buying market and with xbox already announcing their next-next gen console to be released within the next two years, looks like its going to seal the deal. it would be really nice to bring all the communities together at once. (PC, Xbox, and Playstation)
