I was wondering if i can play a part of this game for free, just like anarchy online

There is a free 2 week trial you can play with. Download the launch pad here. You will have to create a new account and that will let you start the free trial.

I highly recommend finding a active outfit which can teach you the ropes of this game. It has a high learning curve and that often makes people stop playing the game. There is also a good chance you will get killed a lot in the beginning. Give it a couple days and that will change.

I would also recommend you start out on the Emerald server that seems to be the most stable server right now.

There is three different empires to chose between to play. The TR, which focus on high RoF weapons and their weapons are more traditional in terms of tech. The NC, which focus on hard hitting weapons and in my opinion they have some of the better weapons in this game. The VS, which focus on versatile  weapons and their  on the sci-fi end of things as far as tech is concerned.  Choose which ever fits you the best.

Heres a list of Outfits I would recommend trying to join on Emerald.

TR:

Hell's Rangers - I hear they're a good group of guys and they're great on the battlefield

NC:

Blue Loins - Played with them many times, great players, run a lot of tank columns, and they've been around since the game started. Look up NoCashForTrades or DasAlteSoldat for a invite.

Just as a warning from being NC as my main stay away from Kill Whores Anonymous and Battalion. They aren't very good outfits and just waste troops imo. You'll probably see one of them spamming recruitment messages in places. You'll just waste your experience.

VS:

GotR (Ghosts of the Revolution) - Biggest outfit on VS I think right now, good group to work with, and they do massive raids during the mid week. Back in the day they would surge into conts with over 50 guys and put up one hell of a fight.
