This game looks very interesting and unique. I am pretty bored with all the other MMO's that consist of dwarfs, elves, swords and magic, etc. Quests like kill the dragon and fetch the farmer 10 sheep skins and 5 baskets of apples. Really want a change and I like the sound of a cool sci-fi MMO. Really hard to find this game at retail stores in Australia. Checked ebay and found 1 store that sells the game retail for $30. I think it must be the original copy from 2003 or whenever it was first released. 2 questions. Does this game have a massive download before you get to play? I know all MMO's have to update but is it just a big update or a MASSIVE update. Are we talking Vanguard size? (took about 12-13 hours for me. Or maybe a little less like COH/V and FFXI (only took 6-8 hours). Also, I have heard the game has had some expansions, graphics revamps, etc. Will I get everything with this copy of EVE? As in will all the new stuff be in the initial downlaod? Or are there more actual retail expansions for the game (like the burning crusade for WoW) Any help would be great. Thanks in advance. :) |

You can just download the client online and then subscribe (though make sure to use all your 14 day trial before subscribing! :D) I don't know the size of Vanguard but EVE's premium client (which has the updated graphics) is about 1.3gb if I recall correctly. The one with the older graphics is something like 700mb or so. |

Thanks heaps for the quick response. Very helpful information and good news that it shouldn't take too long to update. :) |

All exansions are free and already integrated in the client. So just download it. Get the 14 day trial and add a normal gtc to it --> full account. It really is that easy. |
