So when is Mr Garriot adding space combat ala Wing Comander to TR?

Ok we don't even have decent PvP or mounts, so space-combat is out of the question at the moment.

I would feel that there will be missions in ships, not space combat.

If you been to the Wilderness zone and see that BIG ASS Ship. I want to blow that sucker up, and so do a lot of other people. So I think that will happen.

*  Buy a seat on the trip to space with RG

*  Wait until you get into orbit

*  Then, beat the bejeezus out of RG while shouting "WTF happened with TR???"

I think a cool "twist" on this would be to have you on-board a huge ship, part of a caravan/escort, whatever with missions/battles along the way with the "idea" being that you are on the ship to get to new/other planets with the purpose of "establishing new wormholes" (ie. uncharted territory). This would essentially "unlock" a planet to you which you could then use wormholes to "jump" to from then on.

At least, I think that take on it would work and fit in with the game/lore.

You could also have "stations" in space....heck, all those "chosen" refugees have to wait for deployment somewhere. A huge station under attack would make as much sense as any planet too.....the Bane could want to stop us at the root....before we reach all their planets. Again.....just an idea.

Dream on guys cos the way it looks TR is in craper already so i wouldnt have some high hopes about space combat thing or any huge content addon.
First they have to figure it out how to do a simple patch first.
Gl Garriot on your way to space, wish your rockets take you to the moon...

i dont think there is gunna be space combat considerin you are a soldier in the army and ur fighting in a war as an infantry... if u want space combat then play EVE
