Will the change from PC to Console's for MMO mean that all the guild stuff and communication between players will suffer, or will there be a new way to communicate? Will keyboards be sold for consoles?

Originally posted by Mitara There are already keyboards and headsets for consoles. Have been for years. Used to play Everquest Online Adventures on PS2 with a keyboard for typing. So I really don't see your point at all. And mmos sure as hell ain't gonna die from being on consoles, as they'll always be on PC as well. |

Consoles have a long way to go yet before they are used more often for MMO's. But saying that Consoles are coming more and more like cheap PC's. |

MMO's DIE because of limitations with consoles?? I think you need to rethink the phrasing of that question...since when did MMO's ever care what consoles were or did? |

Originally posted by Mitara MMO will indeed die on PC. But they will still be alive on consoles. Imo, the next generation of Microsoft consoles will come bundled with a keyboard and wii-like remote instead of a mouse. It's not for the current-gen because they are still improving graphical quality and Xboxlive, but for the next Xbox... i'm sure Microsoft will have a MMO ready only for its console. Also, since the MMo market became all about money, think what Blizzard could have done on million-selling consoles...? Yep, more money.

Like any other genre, no MMO on a console is one that I will willingly experience. I would sooner switch to a Macintosh, or cease gaming altogether, than support this unfortunate trend. |
