City of Villains

Since i've seen alot of questions about the trial and such, i decided to make this guide to getting started on the trial for City of Heroes / Villains. This guide will be in two parts, one for the US and one for the EU. There will be no difference between the EU and the US, except for what servers there are avaiable. It is possible to play on the US servers from EU, and vice versa, it is purly limited by what client and key you're getting.

US City of Heroes / Villains trial guide:

The first thing you need to get started on the trial is a PlayNC master account. If you don't already have one, you can create one at http://www.plaync.com/us/ under "Account". Once you've done that you will need a trial-key. It can be obtained from one of the following links:

Once you have your PlayNC masteraccount, and you CoX trial key, you must add the game to you're PlayNC masteraccount, and then you're almost ready to play! Now you just need the client, there should be a link in the account page for it, but if you're having trouble finding it, the client can be downloaded from: coh.com
When you have downloaded the updater, you will be promted to select the path where CoX will be installed, after that it will download the full client.
( both the Heroes and the Villains client, you can't get one with out the other. The current gameclient is 2.5GB )

Q: Which classes are good for soloing, and what class should i pick if i want to solo all the way  to level 50?

A: All classes are perfectly capable of soloing all the way to level 50, although classes such as defender or Controller will be tough to start out with. On the villains side though, things are slightly easier. So just pick the class that sounds fun for you and try it out.

Q: What is there to do when i hit level 50?

A: When you hit level 50 the game seems to stop somewhat. But there's still the option to try and     get some better enhancments, earn prestige for your SuperGroup so you can build onto the SuperGroup base. Or if you're a hero, you unlock the Epic Archtype, which is a unique archtype with certain powerpools, which none of the regular classes have. (Note that villains don't have an Epic archtype yet, although it is in the works.) And finally you can always reroll a new toon, all the archtypes have very unique playstyles.

I've added a video to youtube showing me doing a mission at level 18, so that you can get a slight idea of the solo-play gameplay, i'll try and up some group gameplay as well later on. And some high-level gameplay aswell.

Good stuff, man. I tried to do this about a year, year and a half ago on the hero side. It kept getting bumped down by, ironically, people posting new "got trial key" threads.
