Tomorrow there's a Dev chat. I might try to make it there, even though I am not currently subscribed. I'd like to know what the chances are that there will be *any* type of new server (special ruleset or otherwise!)-- a general probability would do. I swore I wouldn't play EQ at all in 2008, but that's the one thing that they could do to trick me out of at least another $15.

I am sure that there are class issues that some people will have questions about. (Aren't there always?)

What would YOU like to know from the devs? I am curious to know what subscribers and potential subscribers are thinking about.

only thing i would ask is when the hell they are gonna fix this crashing problem.  they have no clue. instead of coming to the forums here to try and recruit more people to play how about these devs spend their time fixing their damn game???

Wow this Dev chat is excruciatingly slow.  I had to wait 5 minutes to see someone complain about the shaman bear form model;and  the answer "hopefully; we are working on models but they aren't ready for release."

That's the kind of brain-wrenching Q&A that I would expect to take five minutes :P

That said, I do appreciate the Dev's time.

ha they deleted my first question as it wasnt candy coated. its funny though, one of the questions was a long one and about a second later the dev answered with a long answer. fast typer, like 500 wps. seems mmorpg.com is allowing the devs to choose the "safer" questions and have their answered planned out ahead of time....

can you post the log here . i cant connect to the chat room at work. im very interested to see what the plans if any are for classic server or new progression server with longer unlock times. thanks

there is nothing at all planned for any classic server. they are discussing having another progression type server but nothing concrete at all just in talks.

very disappointing to hear. myself as well as many others were going to leave our current games if we could go back to classic eq. guess the pipe dream is over. bring on aoc/war/aion. thanks for posting the info, i appreciate it.

The only question I asked was not answered.  In fact, there was no discussion at all about a "progression server" other than to say they do not intend to create a classic server.  Kinda lame since I asked my question about ten seconds after the moderator asked for us to send questions into the bot.  I doubt ten seconds costs me two hours of que time.
