Not gonna post again in this thread, just wanted to put a clarification out about something many people seem to think makes something fact.

10,000 people can be wrong, and frequently are.

100,000 people can be wrong, and frequently are.

1,000,000 people can be wrong, and frequently are.

10,000,000 people can be wrong, and frequently are.

You get the picture. Many people can believe many things, that's what's great about the world. At the same time you have to consider that in any given situation there is really only one thing that will be able to stand as true and likely is very far from what most people are debating about.

When saying that a large number of people think the same thing as you, please remember that it means only one thing. You all have the same OPINION. Nothing more or less. It is not a fact based on sheer numbers. It is simply a matter of preference. That doesn't mean that opinion is the right one (unless it's a matter of what the majority likes), and likely means it has absolutely nothing do do with good tastes or facts.

Opinions are not fact but to say they mean nothing is wrong. Popular opinion of something usually has more influence over the masses than fact does. Popular opinion can make a fortune or lose one. Since money equals power the opinion of the masses should never be underestimated.

We all experience things differently and have different reactions to those experiences. I am not foolish enough to think that my opinions are going to mirror your own or that my opinions are in any way a fact. However to over look another persons opinion as useless because it has no hard evidence to back it up seems to be a bit foolish.

Democracy is built on opinion. How does someone get elected to a postion? In an election the one who gets the most votes wins and what is a vote if not a way to exercise your opinion? People spend millions of dollars to sway your opinion in their favor. So opinion is a very powerful thing indeed.

I hate to break it to you but 6 billion people can't be wrong, because there would be no one left to be thier opposition.

Here is the reason behind why WoW had such a success.

Oooooh! What happens when your opinion is fact? Or you only have an opinion because of a fact? Or your opinion of a fact is fact? Since it's fact can you not have an opinion that echoes a fact? What happens when fact is a fact because of an opinion? If fact is truth, what happens when untruth is an opinionated fact?

I don't see the point in discriminating fact from opinion on this site. Very few arguments about MMO's are over facts.

I don't see the point in your post.  Yes 10 million people can be wrong, no doubt about that. However, the fact that 10 million people agree about a certain matter most probably means there' s some quality about the the subject matter that is generally easy to adopt or agree with. Where there's smoke, there is usually a fire.

If you are referring to WoW's 10 million subscribers, I have this to type. You may not like WoW, there are certain polarizing aspects of the game that divide most of us either into lovers or haters of the title. However, you can not argue that the game is not a good game to the the ten million active subscribers. Just because some people get a kick out of the game, does not mean you have to.

Please take it on FAITH, that religious beliefs are opinions, and that's a fact.

WoW is fun to enough people.   denial does nothing but make you look like an idiot.

as for being fun, it's fun to enough people to get to the "interest generates interest" category.

There are 9 million scientologists.  That, in my OPINION, doesn't make it any more likely that Xenu, ruler of the Galactic Confederacy, brought billions of people to Earth 75 million years ago in spacecraft resembling DC-8 airliners.

I don't really like WoW that much at the moment, but I'm still a subscriber.  In my opinion, $15 a month is not enough to make me want to bother canceling my subscription.
