Lets just hope that things don't get any worse. All this doom and gloom talk makes me sad |

I'll purchase and be playing the game whenever it launches, no matter how far it's pushed out. The children who do the ranting about release dates need to get a life. Crying about delays of an mmo only show how immature you all are. Could someone be kind enough to list ALL the ideas and concepts which were scrapped from Age of Conan? I'm only aware of some character classes being consolidated; modular player cities still in? As noted, if you're overly butt hurt about this and don't know how to spend the time, try getting a girlfriend or reading a book. |

Thank you Conan!! I have been so worried about the state of the game. I really am glad to see the Devs have the balls to post pone the launch until the game is ready.
"It's one thing to create an MMo that grows with time. It's another to release an unfinished product!!" "One word, Thundercougarfalconbird." |

Take all the time you need, that's my opinion. Let's face it, we have enough crappy or mediocre mmo's right now. I don't want to see what could be a great game stymied by technical difficulties. |

Originally posted by LobotomistTechnically all of the earlier push backs were on release dates that were based on poor speculation. I think 99% of the community knew they wouldn't release before Fall of 2007. This latest push back to me says "Okay we (Funcom) changed a lot of stuff recently (why is debatable) and need time to test it and make sure launch is better." I do not think it says anything about the game being in trouble, the financial status (if they needed money they would launch a broken game ie. Vanguard) nor does it mean its going to be pushed back again. If you get technical, March 25th was the FIRST CONFIRMED release date. Everything before that was speculation as I said. I do not count speculation dates as push backs. As I mentioned elsewhere, what this means is that launch better be good because I think, after this latest push-back, people will expect a good launch. Anything less will be bad for Funcom in my opinion. Also, I expect WAR to be pushed back too. I expect WAR in the Fall (October to be precise) and the WOW expansion in November. Game companies, especially Funcom and Mythic-EA, know that they now have to compete with WOW. It would be finincial suicide to not do so. They want to launch before the WOW expansion to bring in players. So not only do they need to launch before, they need to launch well and hook players in order to keep them around. THIS is why Funcom pushed AOC back; they know this and we just have to wait until MAy and see if AOC can do it. |

AoC, is like the father that says he is going to come home but never does and always disappoints his child. It's good that they want to make a polished game... but every time I see a release date I am like Woohoo! I can finally play this game... then bam... shot down again. |

I agree to let them take the time they need, but giving hard dates and then changing them is my issue. Oct. 30th, March 28th, now May 20th. I just wish they'd give Quarters, so that you can tell they're aiming for an area of time, rather than a specific date.
Also to hear Lobotomist say something like that really causes me to worry as well. He's pointing out some great things. EDIT: To templarga. Oct. 30th of last year was the first expected release date. --------------------------------------------- |

Well, it maybe better for the game. For me, I am just losing interest w/ every push back. I guess I will just have to wait when I go to Gamestop and see it on the shelf a year from now. |

Well I have to say it sucks, but no matter how much I am getting sick of WoW and the grind and being ready for a new and exciting innovative MMO such as AoC, I would rather wait 2 more months for AoC then to get the game and watch it bomb due to unpolished game play. I think I can stick out WoW for a little longer till AoC comes out in fact I am pre-ordering it Wednesday from GameStop so I can make sure I get my hands on it when it is released. That is how I feel about the push back. I can't wait for AoC I have been waiting forever. |

As a beta-tester for AoC, I am very glad to see this announcement. This game is awesome, but it needs some polish for sure. Good job FunCom - you made the right choice! |
