"Denial does not change reality."

10k active players just maybe realistic. However, the Sation Pass Access holders DO count, so even if they haven't logged into SWG since the NGE, or log in every blue moon to peek at the NGE trainwreck, they are still SWG current 'subscribers'. SWG is on Sation Pass life support. Make no mistake....subscirber numbers for $OE continue to decline across the board. Don't forget the trial accounts and dummy accounts that fluff up subscriber numbers too, but that does little for the actual number playing.

We may nave won a battle, but winning the war? I doubt we ever will see our beloved pre-CU SWG again. I agree, LEC/LA has a hand in preventing that, but I can't blame them from distancing themselves as much as possible from $OE (especially with a possible new SW mmo in development).

Imagine... if SOE / LA stuck with the Pre-NGE system, but worked on squashing the numerous bugs, giving the revamps to professions that needed it, and adding content.

It makes me wonder where we would be right now if something like that happened than the road taken by SOE / LA... the road of the NGE.

It's just too bad.  And too late.

In all truth and honesty you all would have probably left SWG even if there wasn't a NGE. SWG was ok, not great it was indeed the cummunity that kept most there, but communities never sit still and by today most of you would have grown bored silly of SWG and moved on anyway. LA / SOE just accelerated  things a bit with the NGE. People just tend to remember the past through rose colored lenses and forget that SWG was sinking before either NGE or CU actually happened

Actually, Auto Assault lasted for over a year at those levels.

i ask that everyone who can start pushing la into seeing that a roll back is the only way to save swg. and i ask that any nge fanboi now come out and tell us vets that we are right.

If by winning you meant that your favourite game, whose mythic pre-cu, pre-nge beginnings are pined for far and wide, is going down the tubes, never to return IN ANY FORM, then you are correct.  Enjoy.

O was it? I thought it was within 6months they closed it down after dropping bellow the original hype subscriptions. NCsoft is a trooper then for keeping it up that long then.

Lol. Unless this friend of yours happens to be one of the heads of SOE, which would be odd since you obviously hate them, then this means absolutely **edit** all.

What have you won? If you have actively gone out to stop players playing it by telling them lies etc - then you disgust me. SOE has some of the biggest MMOs on the market apart from WoW - they are not a joke. Get over it, there will be no rollback because I and many many others have settled down and are enjoying the game, we are the people that have gotten over it, accepted the differences, accepted that many people left because the dont like it (fair enough) and learnt to like the game - We have have won.

Oh and you are WRONG.

Just imagine what it could have been. Forget the desires of the player base and the disparities over what people really wanted, and just focus on what the developers themselves promised that they never delivered on. Imagine what the SWG of today would look like compared to the SWG of promises unfulfilled of yesterday. What if the developers had adhered to integrity instead of lying to us all at every turn.

I would bet my Optimus Prime helmet that the SWG of promises would have been far more successful.

The last "rumor" about the sub numbers that graced my inbox stated that the paid sub number was 27K.  That was about 3 months ago, so it definitely is lower now.

As for it being dangerously low, I point to the fact that the fanbois are panicking to the degree of trying to rally the troops to go fake positive reviews and "buzz" supporting the NGE.

We vets have had no choice but to adopt a "scorched earth" policy regarding SWG.  They won't give us our game back, so we've destroyed the NGE.

We voted with our feet.

They won't listen to us, so we starve them by denying them dollars.
